If anything I wager it'll be the WoL trying to help rebuild Garlemald with the help of Old Sharlayan after we basically oust the council after we discover they're somehow connected with the Ascians.

I do hope that we get some completely new people while still seeing the old cast from time to time. (Maybe some nice little side quests or we might simply need their help)
I'd like to see more of the "B-Team": Riol, Coultenet, Hoary and Ocher Boulder, etc. They do a lot of important stuff just off-screen.
Wouldn't mind a new cast after this arcs done. But I'll definitely miss y'shtola.
Whatever it will be, I hope they don't make g'raha goes with us on the next adventure. I really can't stand that creep. Make him stay near CT or go on an adventure by himself, idc. And perhaps make y'sthola retire to the First too. The game's face or not, she's so boring and doesn't really bring anything to the story.

I get this feeling we're going to lose the twins at the end of 6.0... Not to death or anything, but I think they might break away from being Scions like Lyse did at the end of Stormblood to stay in Old Sharlayan. Or perhaps only Alphinaud so he can work with the Alliance full time with regards to the Grand Company of Eorzea.
Just my two cents.

And Hien - he can leave the governing to someone else.I'd like to see a completely new cast, personally. By all means, we can check in with the existing characters from time to time but I didn't like how Shadowbringers introduced us to a new world but had the bulk of the story still revolve around the Scions.
Overfamiliarity can often breed contempt and...I doubt the Final Fantasy games as a whole would be popular if they each followed the same cast over and over again. It's time for something fresh, I think!
Oh - and we should get a male Raen or Xaela to travel with.
When the game's story becomes self-aware:
About time i’d say...**Spoiler for Stormblood and 5.55 MSQ below**

Idk I really like the twins. Say what you will but they set up a truly epic story arc. If they do get rid of the scions I can only hope we get characters who are as well written as they are.
But I also vastly prefer long multi expansion story arc instead of xpac to xpac story. It's the reason I see wows story as laughable. It doesn't build tword anything at all.
I kinda like Alphy but all the fist clenching and hero worship they’re trying to do recently is getting bleh. Never liked Alisaie though so i would happily cross her out xDIdk I really like the twins. Say what you will but they set up a truly epic story arc.
