Overfamiliarity can often breed contempt and...I doubt the Final Fantasy games as a whole would be popular if they each followed the same cast over and over again. It's time for something fresh, I think!

A male Raen or Xaela sounds really great! Considering we’ve rarely had one be a part of a story. Personally i’ve been tired of the scions for awhile and i’m really hoping EW is the last time we have them as the main cast. I’d love to have them introduce and entirely new cast of characters instead of keep reusing the old ones who just continue the same plot points over and over (cough Yshtola, cough Graha)
