IMO, Save the Queen saga was actually better.
We had diverse content and the South Front was amazing.

Story wise, it was better than Eureka. Relic looks is about tastes.
Yet Eureka maps felt move "lively" with different biomes, you want from a forest to caves, to a volcano, to whatever was Hydatos...
Bozja maps don't look good, the south front actually felt like a battlefield but Zadnor is plain and considering Nier 24 man raid was nothing but large white platforms, it's really disapointing.
Bozjan maps are improvements to Eureka but they also bring problems.

CEs spawn tied to farming magiteck, if no one is farmining nothing is spawning. Make it a timer, make it clearer, anything.
The rewards needs improvements, Castrum Litore had either too much rewards or not enough rewards, something it was dead, other time it was alive too much.
On the other hand, DRS did not gave memories for the relics (why?) , clear it enough time to get the armors and you won't need to go in anymore.
Dalriada only has lost actions, field notes you need once, relic thing that stack up very fast and one rare mount. Also the coins for the FF XII gear that brings nothing stat wise, it's just ilvl525 gear to prepare for EW.

In my opinion, Bozja went the wrong way when DR happened. It started going downhill with quality or design.
Eureka actually improved with Hydatos but it became a flat area.

I see myself doing Bozja on an alt all over again. Don't think many would sincerely say the same thing about Eureka.

I've enjoyed Bozja way more than I ever did Eureka. It is just more fun to me, and the story was so much more engaging.

I feel like the people saying there was a great community in eureka were the ones sitting around chatting waiting for other people to kill mobs to spawn things.

Cuz I don't remember chatting much with people. Was too busy putting work in to spawn things.

There was a lot chatting before everyone knew how things worked, so there was a lot of waiting around. But yeah, after that the most communication I saw was players trying to coordinate their efforts to spawn things.

From my fun experience (luckily) at Eureka, the chat mostly comes when people wait before pulling a NM or when they decide to coordinate which NM to spawn first or the ones with rare item and relic\armor mats.
I can speak as someone who once lead a NM train in Hydatos despite being super introvert for these kind of stuff.
But one thing for sure is whenever you needed to spawn a NM that only appears under certain weather\night, you wouldn't waste time chatting (only people giving reminder to keep killing mobs to avoid waiting for next cycle).

But my experience is pretty much post buffed Eureka so i can't tell how it was when it dropped day 1 etc anyway

I was piloting trains in Anemos and still had plenty of time to be silly in shout and chat and enjoy my time there.

I'm talking peak Eureka here, with trains so full there wasn't even enough mobs to kill to keep everyone busy, so there was still plenty of time to wait around for some people. I'm not talking 12 players trains with like 3 people actually killing things.

I enjoyed Bozja story, but it will be worse than Eureka for people who will try to do it further in the future due to castrum lock.

I think I may have preferred Eureka honestly. At least doing it step by step, if I were to do either of them from start to finish on a character, Bozja being shorter would probably be preferred.

Some things in Eureka were an annoyance. Pagos at launch was an annoyance. The aetherytes tuned too high for the fates/enemies around them. The annoying middle section you had to tip toe around dragons, made worse by how high you had to get to just teleport to the north part of the map and avoid them. THe magia board seemed neat at first but it always just 'spin the wheel to hit the right element' and if you were tank, maybe having a bit of defense against the enemy type to boot. But honestly very little actual through or strategy ever went into its use.

But despite the annoyances, the zones themselves were more interesting and mysterious. The Bozja maps feel extremely uninspired. And while following the fate train was always the main thing to do in eurka, it feels like the ONLY real thing to do in Bozja outside of cluster farming.

Mechanically, Bozja is better and more refined. The magicite board was dumb and obtuse, a system within a system. I adore the bombed out, blasted warzone look. The gear sets look better overall and we got real Judge armor. The relics are in the eye of the beholder. The only issue I have with it is how the story went to crap at the end of part one. You know the scene in Castrum. Also we didn't get to make the traitorous git bite the curb and grind their skull beneath our boots. Instead we got pseudo-redemption story nonsense.
