    Digital Art Commissions For Gil?

Is that a thing? Is that allowed? Cuz I'm thinking about using some of my days off to take commissions in gil to fund some stuff in-game. It would take a lot of trust naturally. I'd probly start by doing a half-up-front/half-after kinda thing, but I'm getting a bit ahead of myself.

Anybody have info on whether or not this is allowed?

    Would anybody be interested?

It'd be a lot of gil. I've got about 20+ years of serious artistic development and over 10 years as a freelance commission artist in terms of experience, if that helps inform.

I believe this borders too much on "Real World Goods trading for In Game Items" to be kosher.

Yeahhhh I was worried about that. I mean, all of it is digital but it's for not-in-the-game work. So I suppose that qualifies under that rule. Bummer...

Ah well. Thanks for the input!

"While the creation of art can carry a different connotation than real money in terms of something to exchange for gil, your skills and the results of their application (in this case, art) are considered something of real world value. When considering it under this view, the exchange of art for in game currency would be considered a violation of the rules and may result in account actions."

Yup that would be what Ilenya was saying. Thanks for the link and quote for that section of the rules. :>

This is exactly why I asked. Seemed like a grey area and you guys came through. Thank you!

Are these also applied to selling clears for gils? Cause I still see that in PF sometimes.
