Half of Bozjan Duels are nothing but cheesing attempt

Title. Most duels are casters cheesing duels with an overbuffed Flare Star.

When there's a duel, it's either a public execution or a cheese attempt.
It shows how lazy the community is and it just defeat the purpose of a duel.

Obviously the damage has been done and the title is nothing more than "You cleared an add that has one mechanic", funny enough, many died at the very first mechanic.

Yet, watching someone clearing a duel within 30 seconds is not fun and it's actually depressing when me and my friends made the effort to learn the mechanics and less than a quarter of the duel attempts are actual attempts.

Zadnor was poorly tested, there is many bugs.
Please SQEX, hotfix something about the Flare Star cheese and make sure nothing of this sort ever happens again, I don't want to see 6 months of cheese.

If someone wants to cheese the mechanic to get what they want that is their prerogative, if you don't want to see the cheese... maybe don't go watch the duels? If you and your friends want to do it the good ol fashioned way great. But others making creative use of what is available to them is their business not yours.

Something of the sort will always happen you jus need to learn to deal with it. Their is cheese strat for most things and going forward there will be new ones appearing.

Let's apply this logic to any content.
Ultimate getting cheesed, savage getting cheesed, Unreal getting cheesed, crafting getting cheesed, everything from Gold Saucer getting cheesed...
Do you truly want to play a game where there's an easy way for everything? On top of that, it's not cheesing ONE mechanic, it's cheesing the whole duel.

Now I see the answer "But it doesn't impact your gameplay?" Yes it does.
More people will try to get in duels just to cheese and we all know there's already too much people trying the duels.

Also look at it from SQEX perspective. They put resources into content and more than half of the player just don't want to experience it or find a way to get around it?
That's wasted resources that doesn't need to put that much effort into it. If they decide to not bother playtesting duels anymore, they won't make any new duels in the future because of wasted resources.

I watched a few duels earlier expecting the person to die immediately like usual, and they completely melted the duel and won with their valor stacks.

I find it entertaining, in that they're willing to break certain components of the game - It's a nice breath of fresh air, honestly.

You can sometimes go an entire day waiting to get into a duel. If you just want the achievement awards why wouldn't you use everything at your disposal to clear it?

Blame the absolutely terrible concept of duels in an mmo. Many of these things would be better off as a separate instanced solo trial so people might actually be able to learn and practice the mechanics at their own pace instead of waiting/farming for a specific CE every hour without even the guarantee of getting a chance to duel.

Seems to be it's intentional. Eureka and Bozjan are casual content, there's no need to worry about balance or breaking stuff because the intent of the content is to get a time investment out of you which will happen if you play the content.

There's absolutely no reason to pretend things should be balanced when the actual content strays so far from the game that is balanced around having tanks, healers, and damage dealers when the content being done turns everyone largely into damage dealers with different skills.
So the proper choice, which they've done is lean into it.

Same theory with blue mage.

This doesn't apply to content with different intentions like say savage or ultimate where the intent of the content is to test your skill in the core games system of balance, ultimately. The side-effect of it being a time investment is irrelevant.

All in all they would've wasted more resources trying to actually balance eureka and bozjan so you can't really say it's a waste of resources when the alternative is much worse and less fun.

Actual cheese that would have consequences is if blue mage was allowed to do ultimate's.
It would devalue the content regardless of how many or how little blue mages you have in your party, blue mages actually being able to do ultimate would be a spit in everyone's face who actually did the content because the contents intent was to test the skill of the group and individual, you devalue that and the achievements of anyone who finished it by essentially cheating. The intent of the content you're doing is what makes the difference.

And the intent is to finish your relic weapon, the alternative to a savage weapon. Time investment vs skill investment.

Players have every right to use any strategy and actions they deem worth it. In fact, they are encouraged to do so. The cheese attempts are perfectly valid and there's absolutely nothing wrong with them.

However, if you wanna discuss what led players to being able to kill in seconds something that was supposed to be "challenging" to begin with is a whole different story. That's on the developers, not the player base.

I'm also of the opinion that Lost Flare Star is completely broken, but not because it's too strong, it's because it outclasses everything else around it. Running duels with anything other than casters is utterly pointless and it's kinda hard to believe the devs would intentionally only give the three casters such option.
