They'd better not count this server downtime towards the total for defeating Garuda....

Agreed.

It probably will be, from the time the servers went live until Garuda finally goes down it'll likely be counted still. But question about that is I ponder if they'll count it when normal Garuda falls, or the hard battle one. I didn't expect they'd make a hard battle in addition to a normal one.

Ifrit did, King Moggle Mog didn't. Just because one does isn't to mean they'll do it with every battle. Just to say I thought they'd do that with only Ifrit, not Garuda too. That's all I meant.

True, but even SE admitted the mog fight was improvised to replace titan and leviathan in light of the disaster in japan at the time. It's not the most accurate indicator of what primals are meant to be.
