PS5 mouse + keyboard, ctrl key stuck after 5.55

After installing the 5.55 patch on PS5, I've encountered a strange problem. Now, I can't say with certainty that the patch is to blame. All I can say is that I haven't had this problem before the patch.

The issue is that after playing for a while, the ctrl key - which is only on the mouse with my setup, not on keyboard - gets stuck. And I don't mean physically stuck, but the game thinks that I'm constantly pressing it, even though I'm not. This makes it impossible to use my first skill bar. This is most inconvenient, especially when playing a healer in raid content. Only restarting the PS5 will solve the issue, which of course will resurface not long after. So far this has only happened while doing raid content.

I'm using Logitech G600 and Razer Tartarus V2 for controls. I'm playing the PS4 version, although my console is PS5.

I've tried changing the G-shift to plain ctrl, but to no avail.

Does anyone have any ideas what should I try next?

You know I noticed today that my G600 was working finally without having to push CTRL on the Keyboard. I just figured that Sony or SE fixed their ends and my G600 with saved profile from GHUB finally knows how to use G9-G20 as CTRL+#

I have tested the keyboard after reading your post while searching online if the issues were indeed fixed, and they work fine the 1-= and ALT-1-= all work fine. I don't know what's going on but if they did fix this then I am happy because having the G600 is a huge QoL upgrade playing on PS4/PS5

Well never mind... Started up the game today and bam G600 back to not inputting CTRL+ number. It's back to just registering the number only. I have to push CTRL on the Keyboard to make the G600 input CTRL+ number sigh

I wish they could fix this or talk to Sony if it's on their end.

I think I finally solved this! Well, actually I stumbled upon a post by pacificator_ in Reddit that helped me solve it.

The problem was the G-shift all along. The new Logitech G-HUB software does not save settings in the mouse on-board memory, even though it says it does. However the old Logitech Gaming Software (LGS) is actually capable of utilizing the on-board memory.

So, this is what I did. I uninstalled the lousy G-HUB and downloaded and installed the old LGS. This time the software actually DID change the keybinding from G-shift to ctrl.

I may need some additional testing, but I'm 99% sure that this is now solved.

Edit: I think it's safe to say now that the issue has been solved. Zero problems since I removed the G-shift function with the LGS.
