Soooo these relics... lets talk.

I'm disappointed as well. Right now I've got the gunbreaker and red mage ones, will get more later just because it's easy and the stats are good. To me, the best looking one by far is the white mage one, followed by gunbreaker. I'm indifferent on the others.
I was doing delubrum reginae today, with my gunbreaker relic, and there was another gunbreaker there, with the hades weapon. I couldn't stop thinking how his weapon looked so much cooler than my relic. The model itself glowed when sheathed, the glow glowed more, the effect was cooler and more apparent... meanwhile my weapon barely glowed and you really had to look for it to realize it was a relic... There was also a white mage with a tsukoyomi weapon. I always hated the crafted tsukoyomi weapons... the effect seemed bland and uninspired to me, just a glow... But compared to my relic even that looked cooler... the glow was strong and noticeable. This is the first relic to me, that is outshined by crafted primal weapons. That is really disappointing.


I also was disappointed by the eureka relics when they reached the last step. I thought they were ugly as sin. But by comparison, even those looked cooler. The glow was overbearing and apparent. The effect unique. The base models themselves can't be redeemed in my opinion. But those weapons do look like final stage relics, and they are rare to boot!


I just see all those players with hades and ultimate weapons in gangos... even sheathed they are lit up and look cool and eye catching. By comparison the new relics don't look that impressive, only people in the know would know they are the final step of a relic and thus supposed to be "cool". But for untrained eyes we have crafted primal weapons that look cooler, and that stinks. I still think for some of the jobs the previous step looked cooler.
