Zadnor - Weekly Challenge logs would have made the grind a bit more bearable

    Remember those?

Those things that helped you level in Eureka? The things that SE apparently completely forgot existed in Bozja?

Since apparently we are having to gain and spend literal millions of mettle, a weekly bump would have been nice.

It could have also been a way to ensure that the Southern Front is populated or assisted in spawning CEs.

Here, I did you work for you. Simply add appropriate mettle:

"Defeat X number of rank I / II / III enemies in BSF"

"Defeat X number of Magitek enemies in BSF"

"Defeat X number of rank I / II / III enemies in Zadnor"

"Defeat X number of Magitek enemies in Zadnor"

    "Complete 30 skirmishes"

    "Complete 60 skirmishes"

    "Complete 5 CEs"

    "Complete 10 CEs"

    "Complete CLL 3/5 times"

    "Complete DR 3/5 times"

    "Complete The Dalriada 3/5 times"

Veteran healers don't care if we need to heal, but right now we don't. We want interesting things to do during the downtime other than a 30s dot and a single filler spell that hasn't changed from lvl 4 to lvl 90.
Dead DPS do no DPS. Raised DPS do 25/50% lower DPS. Do the mechanics and don't stand in bad stuff.
Other games expect basic competence, FFXIV is pleasantly surprised by it. Other games have toxic elitism. FFXIV has toxic casualism.[/LIST]

CLogs gave me a weekly goal to fulfill in Eureka and I completed it with joy.

No CLogs in Bozja, no checkbox to check, so I barely touch it.

Not specific to Bozja, but I definitely find Weekly Challenges compelling in other content. If I happen to do something that gets me 1/X or 2/X in one of my Weeklies I do tend to feel an urge to complete the challenge even if the reward itself isn't monumental. It's nice to get that extra little reward for the time spent.

I really like the idea of having a challenge log there. It would make the grinding more meaningful. Also, Creative Business Unit III please do something with the atrocious Field Note drop rate. It should be illegal at this point.

^ This. lol I'd be okay with weekly challenges (heck, it's more gil so...) but I don't think they are necessary for Bozja at all.

While I cannot give a specific date on when personal housing will be implemented, I can say that prices will be completely separate from free company housing, and, naturally, far more affordable.

I don't think the 'grind' is particularly bad this time around, really. I've been dipping into Zadnor for half an hour to an hour each evening, it's been less than a week since it went live and...I'm already max rank with the raid completed.

Even after going into the raid blind and dying a lot to the last two bosses the mettle gain easily offsets any losses upon successful completion.

That's not to say I would be opposed to a challenge log...I just don't think it's a necessity. Especially for content that's meant to last for the next six months.

Going from Rank 10 to Rank 25 in Zadnor is extremely quick and you could do it in a day or so. Just do 5 fates at most and you have ranked up. You really do not need a challenge log if you actually understand how easy it is.

The grind really isn't that bad, in a full time session of Zadnor I can get into two of the Daladra and do enough skirmishes/CEs to be close to a mettle turn in for the buffs.

Problem with after you reach max rank, proofs of mettle cost a whopping 20 million for 3 of them.

In context: That's 7 runs of The Delabria (7 hours or so) or 77 skirmishes in the rank 3 zone (at 261,000 mettle a skirmish) however long that would take you.

For 3 ranks of mettle. It has been estimated that it might take upwards of 600 million mettle to max everything out.
