No New Races... But New Clans?

In a perfect world, all races would've gotten the Midlander/Highlander treatment instead of being just literally recolors with tiny different details like pupil or eyebrow shapes. I'd personally find it redundant if any third clan option would be just that, though it's....better than nothing I suppose?

Just new options added to existing races, please. Some of the existing "choices" (like jawline) are very samey and hardly make any difference at all, so seem like a waste of space.

More than four faces and more feature options, please.

New clans with altered models would be no different to making new races entirely. It would be the same amount of work involved in creating a new character type.

In any case the character creation template may not allow for more than two clans anyway. It could be easier to program in new races than add clans.

I’d much rather they fix existing races before adding more Fantasia bait. Fix Viera and Hrothgar hats, add stubble and beards, add more customisation for all classes in general while you’re at it. Then maybe look into new clans or races.

2 years and the races are still not complete lol Maybe viera will be with the males coming but i wouldnt count on it. At the very least i expect haircuts and helmets to be missing and Hrothgar torture will continue.

I haven't seen it mentioned yet, so I'll just say it in case no one knows or forgot. Garleans aren't a sub race of Hyur they are their own race. Technically, NPCs like Arenvald are hybrids just like Hilda. But because Garleans and Hyurs are quite close, physically, it's hard to tell them apart.

Also in regards to clans, the game, and the devs, have stated there are quite a few clans, but the differences are the same as real life variations; so minute that only the broad strokes get noticed, which are the classifications we use in game. Think about real world groupings, like Asian or Hispanic, those are very generic and contain many sub groupings. They are also two groups that can get confused for one another sometimes.

There is actually no major benefit to this, as it wouldn't change anything for your character. It would only add to your "back story", which is self-created anyway.
