Bozja is alright. A refined, less obtuse version of Eureka with a lower barrier of entre. DR and DRS are the highlight, although the initial 48 man requirement for DRS was a bit strange. Also the Judge set craps on anything Eureka offered.

Bozja addressed pretty much every common complaint with Eureka. Less zones, fates were focused instead of mob grinding, Additional actions from day 1, the ability to play with and level with friends regardless of your own level, overall less grind, and the end raid was accessible by everyone on demand rather than tied to instance timers, random teleports and grinding for a 100% chance at a spot in the raid.
If you liked Eureka as it was of course you're going to prefer it and see Eureka as a downgrade, but I would argue that for a majority of the player base Bojza was a massive upgrade over Eureka, and I wouldn't be surprised if the numbers SE has reflects that. Imo it was a massive step in the right direction as far as relic content is concerned.
Made by Allagans is not the same as made by normal means of war. Eureka is in the section of Baldesion/Isle of Val (which is a part of Sharlayan if I'm not mistaken)-- and we know they're not one to interfere with anything war related (even if it's on their doorstep anyways). They're not gonna have the zone look gorgeous when it's a normal location turned war. Cartenau was built well before either Garleans and Eorzea/Bozjan/Everyone else stepped on those fields. Big difference
I never mentioned Eureka, where did that come from. And I guess you missed the point where Carteneau was destroyed by Bahamut. My point still stands. You can make a destroyed or war-torn zone interesting to look at instead of something yawn inducing like Zadnor.Made by Allagans is not the same as made by normal means of war. Zadnor is pretty unique, given is a mix of war blasted desert and scrub land. The only environment close is the Burn.
You never mentioned Eureka-- you're right. I never said you did (either). Just pointing it out that Eureka made sense (because lore wise). And BSF makes sense it's the way it is because of (also said lore). We knew what Bozjan southern front was gonna be at the start of SB (with Fanfest) and all the announcements leading up to it. I get where you're coming from though or hoping it would've been. But sadly it was never gonna be anything more than a brown, dirty, deadly battlefield lolI never mentioned Eureka, where did that come from. I disliked both. For Eureka I missed the train to hopp on and I just couldn't get me to stupidly grind mobs or wait until others finished the fates. Yeah, Eureka's landscape was prettier - at least what I've seen so far. In playability Bozja was much more fun for me then Eureka. I could take part on everything without the need of getting carried.
But for me it's good that the SHB relics are so ugly (personal opinion of course). It will save me so much time because the endresults are just a miss for me. I finished my NIN last night and maybe I'll do RDM too. But only cause of the ilvl. And I'll overglam both.
Bozja had 4 chapters, an extreme, a map, a 24(48) man raid
The Extreme was basic. Can't say much more about it.
Bozja's South front was good, the actions were easily accessible and once you had the lifesteal potions and actions you could solo everything.
The first map had problems such as the lack of notoriety and Castrum being either too full either no empty. Rewards was where it struggled the most, the infamous 999 coins for a body/leg piece upgrade and I have yet to see a piece loot from a chest. The map was looking like a battlefield and even had a destroyed city.
Delubrum Reginae was a mistake. The fact that the community is reluctant to use potion or actions makes it a 45 minutes long raid when it can now be reduced to 15 minutes. Just simply look at Castrum Litore, there was almost no one with Lost Death.
The 48 man raid was the worst idea SQEX could have. I don't remember more than 4 people I played with and simply know that we literally carried some players.
I get that "less responsabilities through a lot more players" might sounds good on paper, but it only encourages players to be carried through the content and to make minimal efforts. To quote Pint from WoW "A group of 20 people will inevitably have more drama than a small circle of friends".
In short? No more 48 man savage raids, you can try 24 mans raid but even that would be too much.
The story was nice, but running this raid again and again for rewards is tiring.
Zadnor... Zadnor is not finished. There is a lot of bugs, the balancing is not quite here (See Lost Flare or Lost Bloodrage adapted to WAR but a pain on other tanks), the areas aren't visually good, the first and second area are just plain empty deserts. Not even trench to make it look like a battle field. The castrum was casualized, no prisoners mechanics it's just a straight line with some traps at a point. Oh yeah and people still wipe on this, since it's too difficult for casuals we won't see this kind of traps in the future.
Overall... Bozja had one, two good content. Fates chains and CEs are a great idea. Delubrum was welcomed at first but painful shortly after. It often comes to the community not reading and using the lost actions.
Maybe in the future, they should create passives rather than actives.
Allowing the fragments on the market board was a mistake. Because making a few thousand gil is clearly more important than shaving 10 or more minutes off DR. A start would be to give out a ton more useful essence fragments to discourage selling.
I also dislike how they kept in that you lose a huge amount of mettle when you return to the starting point when you already lose a lot from dying. For what reason again? Enables begging the party or shout to ride across the map to get you up. That problem was only temporarily not there at max rank 15.
I would not know, as it requires raids to unlock for me.. and don't want to do raids.
Sadly the friends I made also don't do it. So i don't know if it is fun or not. But I'm not one to chase gear.
