Yeah, I really miss the community and zone chat shenanigans from Eureka. Driving a train was fun.
Bozja feels like a slog, and nobody talks mostly.

Preferring Bozja over Eureka currently.
Doesn't get that much better with Lost Chainspell, Seraph Strike, Lost Full Cure, and whatever other Lost Action that enables solo play or feels super broken at a ridiculously funny level.
"No you can't just use Veraero or verthunder without first casting Verfire/Verstone/Jolt first and change your whole rotation!"
"Haha Chainstrike Veraero/verthunder go brrr"
"No, you just can't ress an entire alliance without healer LB3 in this CE as the last man surviving and save an entire run!"
"Haha, chainstrike ress + Lost Full Cure go brrrr" or even the budget "Lost Cure III + Dualcast Ress + Ether Resistance Kit go brrr"
I made some extremely hilarious plays and epic saves which really does make the WoL feel like a God/Goddess of the battlefield. Feels great from the unchanging PvE combat system in its own way with the flexibility it offers. Bozja does this better than Eureka imo. The rank system is finnicky at first, but afterwards, feels rewarding after capping.
Eureka was much prettier to look at, but it was far more annoying to actually play. Especially Pagos.
I enjoyed them both. And Eureka was pretty special for me but this is different and that's a good thing.
Eureka relics + armour is uglier
Tbh I much preferred bozja. Not much for the looks or type of encounters, but for how more organized and less cancer it was than eureka.
I was one of those who played Eureka on release, and it was downright aids. I felt useless majority of the time, hitting 54 with my fire IV because I was too low lvl, getting killed by any lifeform until I got to 17. By then it was a short trip until I had to start from 0 in the next zone. Eureka for me was all about being carried by the fate train and waiting. Lots of waiting. Sometimes I'd spend the entirety of the full 3h in there and maybe do 6-7 fates. Sometimes I'd never see the special boss pop (Hi louhi).
Bozja is heaven compared to eureka. Basically no waiting because there is no downtime on fates, you can do damage and kill things from the start and not be useless until you hit max lvl, and joining the special dungeon (the equivalent of Baldesion Arsenal) wasn't a complex effort that required a dedicated discord for it. Also, grinding for the relic wasn't as cancer as for Eureka. It's like people forgot how light grind was, spending an eternity in Pagos farming dragons.
So it can be as ugly as you want, and I agree that the relics are disgusting, but for me there is no comparison between the two. I dread eureka, I don't mind bozja. Perhaps if they made Eureka similar to bozja, without the downtimes and the feeling of uselessness for 90% of the levelling process, it wouldn't have been that bad of an experience for me. I had actually stopped at the pagos stage, because of how badly it traumatized me. The only reason why I kept pushing and completing the whole thing was the ozma mount. But even now, having all the upgraded gear and being a god in eureka, I dread the thought of going back in there for any reason.
It kinda seemed like they wanted most of Zadnor to look like the moon's surface, which is weird because they're adding the moon in EW. Maybe they wanted to practice making a moon map.
I liked them both to a degree. I preferred Eureka's visuals and sense of community. But Bozja has it beat in overall map design, content (never a down time), story, and ease of the weapon steps. If they do another open world content like this, I want them to combine both, we'd get the greatest zones the game would ever know.
Personally, Bozja's major flaw was no clear sense of progression. Eureka's elemental levels gave tangible evidence that you were getting stronger the more time you spent in the zone. Bozja, you're synced to 80 regardless, unlocking areas feels like pointless gating when you and the enemies are just as strong at the north end as you are in the south.
Complain about Eureka FATE trains all you want, but you know it felt good when you were finally leveled enough to contribute. (and at least with the trains, there was greater zone participation. can't count the number of times I've seen Bozja FATEs come and go too fast for credit because there's multiple groups running)
Notably kinda fixed with the honor system after you beat Dalriada, buy Honors for 20M mettle and use them to buy permanent buffs which increase your HP, Damage or Healing. Difference becomes huge on the higher number.Personally, Bozja's major flaw was no clear sense of progression.
