    Frequent 90002 Disconnects

Hi, I've been having 90002 errors during the Level 80 Paladin Quest "Worth Fighting For." Although this is not the only occurrence of me getting slapped with a 90k; sometimes I will instead get a 90001 error in the mix, though I'm not sure what causes it, and I've been searching for all sorts of solutions or reading up on similar issues to find out what would be the most appropriate course of action I should take.

    Some important things to note:

    1. My internet stays connected even with the 90002 errors.
    - Occasionally, there are 90001 errors and even more rarely, lobby connection errors.
    2. I recently changed my ISP to Spectrum. Not really my choice but a family member has been complaining about download speeds - I was able to play FFXIV just fine before this change, so if it's an ISP issue, what is it I should call them about?
    - I tried port forwarding too. Spectrum's app is awful because it won't let me input ranges (and what even is an External/Internal port? What does this even MEAN) and I don't know if I did it right, but there was an attempt, and I don't think this attempt worked.
    3. The errors absolutely happen during the level 80 Paladin quest, but they've happened before, albeit randomly, during my run through the Shadowbringers Tank and Physical DPS questline, and the quest line after doing all role quests, and while I'm crafting, and while I'm interacting with my retainer, and while I'm queued. Basically, extremely randomly. I'm dying, Adamantoise.

This has been going on for less than a week, but I'm hoping to find out what it is I need to do.

Good morning and thank you for posting on the Final Fantasy XIV Technical Support Forums.

We apologize for the delay in our response, please try the following troubleshooting steps:

    - The game will use the Internet Explorer web browser to connect to the internet. Open Internet Explorer, then open the "Tools" setting, go to "Internet Options" and adjust the following settings:
    - Under the "General" tab, please delete ALL browser history.
    - Under the "Security" tab, please move the slider to the lowest possible settings or no higher than "Medium"
    - Under the "Privacy" tab, click “Advanced” and select ‘Accept’ under both First Party and Third Party Cookies.
    - Under the "Advanced" tab, please make sure that "Allow software to run or install even if signature is invalid" is CHECKED.
    - Make sure that all SSL and TLS (EXCEPT SSL 3.0) are CHECKED. [SSL 3.0 should be UNCHECKED]
    - Hit "Apply" to save the settings, and then "OK, to close the Internet Options menu.
    - Please RESTART your PC now. Once your PC has been restarted, Right-Click the FFXIV launcher icon once more and select "Run as Administrator"

-Make sure your fire wall or antivirus program is not interfering with the game

    - Check to see if the following port ranges are opened on your router. You can contact your ISP and request they open them for you:
    ▼TCP
    54992 through 54994,
    55006 through 55007,
    55021 through 55040

-Try disabling background applications and do a clean boot by opening the task manager and selecting the “Start up” tab. Disable everything and then restart the PC.
