Howdy y'all, I've heard this board was usable to submit suggestions and feedback so I'd like to share my piece on things that would in my opinion, make for a better, more accessible game experience.
First, about the camera movement. It's really bothersome having to left-click and drag your cursor around to change camera angles, would be nice having and option to bind camera movement to your mouse like it is in games like FPSes. Yes I do understand this game is a tab-targeting MMO and has menus that require a free cursor to navigate, and that people can field-target if they don't like pressing tab or other keys, but I have tested locking my mouse click and running some dungeons and I really felt the game played much better. An optional function for that is all I'm asking, and maybe the cursor could be un-bound by pressing or holding some mod key like shift, alt or control. I hope you get me on this one.
Second, about combo actions. This one is both for convenience and to remedy the infamous skill bloat. Would be great being able to group actions, or at least combo chains to a single key like it is done in RP fights in the MSQ. I do get they don't want to dumb-down the game and make it too easy to play a job, and that's understandable, but it's already done in PvP with the Enchanted Red mage melee combo for example, and the aforementioned RP fights, I don't see why they can't be implemented for free use outside these occasions. I myself have no problem with managing my hotbars as they are, except when you map a hotkey to alt, shift or control and hold it your character stops, making just hovering your mouse over and clicking more viable, while at the same time taking away camera maneuverability.
As you can see, these two issues are closely related, and while minor, I do believe these changes would do a lot in the way of accessibility and convenience.
Ps. I know these aren't issues while playing on controller, but I just can't get used to the control scheme they use, I often have to stop and think 1 or 2 seconds before I press something, unless I end up using the wrong skill and obliterate my rotation (specially problematic when playing BLM).
That's it folks, hope you agree with me, or at least see where I'm coming from.
Thaks for your time and patience.
