I wouldn’t mind a callback or for role quests to utilize the NPCs from former job quests, but I do prefer the new way of role quests. BUT to be fair, I’m the kind of guy that prefers to binge-watch tv shows, so the episodic nature with huge wait times (entire expansions) between chunks is a turn off. More of a “me problem” than a problem with the stories themselves...though I would also say about 1/2 were pretty boring to my tastes.

The way the role quests could be done independently, then combined in a finale was a great approach to me.

Moving forward, it would be nice to see the various role NPCs working together (like all tank trainers get screen time/meet up in the course of the tank role storyline, with additional dialog if you did their particular job’s story)
