Just appreciate what you got here people.
Ill bite on this. Ive read some of your ideals on other forums previously (I dont fully agree with them or to the extent you say).

You can appreciate what you have, yes -- but that doesnt absolve from criticism when it is needed. FF14 has plenty of things to criticize but that doesnt necessarily make it a terrible game by any means. Absolving criticism tends to bring the community into a state of lacksidasical nature towards issues. We saw this with how WoW developed.

"Why does WoW need to change if they have such the firm grip on the MMO market" would be an example. Plenty of such was issued back in the day since the once juggernaut powered through competitor after competitor.

Game have their cracks and its good to point out when there are some. Viera/Hrothgar having issues with hairstyles and hats is a problem that extends to the personalization of your character that gives the system flaws. People acting like its a non-issue in a game that puts importance on player integration, personal progression, and story should be more concerned in such notions since such flaws hamper and limit integration.

Complacency is what got to WoW into the state it is in -- repeating it for another game follows the same suit.
