I would consider them continuing a simplification and homogenization campaign for jobs as pretty bad. I think just referring to all complaints as "bunny hat" shows that you are just being bad faith and making the criticism sound as comical/stupid as possible to try to have a point.

Its disheartening to see -- since there is actually criticism and discussions to be had. But oh well.

Your talking to a guy who slowly lost loyalty to WoW and multiple other MMO for a similar issue that I see Square Enix going down the same path. Sacrificing RPG elements in favor of convenience is a good way to strip the unique identity of your MMO and make people just move on.

Let me make this clear. I hate and despise the laziness of the developers that have decided to abandon job quest in favor of these stripped job quest that you maybe got away with in Shadownbringers because it was 7 years worth of story telling building up and it was a good way to get the point across.

My issue we are back in Eorzea now and I walk passed my Paladin trainer on a daily basis and just like WoW with class trainers they no longer offer anything to me then a sad reminder of what I used to have in my mmoRPG.

The reason it is easier to bring up bunny hats would be because of the 1,000+ page of that stayed on these forums since Shadowbringers released in 2019 vs them gutting job identity and getting ride of job quest.

Hell even the FF14 creators barely get mentioned here which is weird because you would think everytime Husky has a new video it would be popular here or Zepla.

Huh... I didn't realize there were others here who wanted to just jam about random community content.
I'm hesitant to make a thread for each item I wanna share. Where should I put them? Is there a place to discuss community made stuff?

There was an entire FF14 Youtube series with little animated characters that was South Park levels of funny that I just found out existed. These forums are very self contained with some people talking inside of a bubble.

I love Zepla's content. We both have a long history with WoW so I relate to so much of what she says. Her videos are really informative too. Also her reaction to male viera was gold

I just wish I knew about a EU content creator so I can watch their streams live.

I didn't even know who Belullar was until this thread, and I still had to look them up.
I feel like I spend a good deal of time on here so unless I've been missing every one of these rash of posts about them I feel like theres a bit of exaggeration going on about how much we talk about WoW content creators.
And yeah, the only other one I've caught has been Asmon and basically not at all for months.

For me, it's not really about the forums, it's about the communities that discuss FF14 in general. I sort of fold the forums into this in general. I do agree that there (thankfully) isn't much mention of WoW content creators here.

Amen to this homie. Biggest part of wow I miss isn't the game though, it's my guild. Some awesome people in there. Yet while I love them it's just not enough. I stayed in wow BFA-SL solely because I enjoyed the people but it was time to accept that the wow I loved has been long dead and it isn't coming back. Sad but true. Meanwhile ffxiv is just so damn good it's crazy. From story to characters, YOU are the pillar if this MMO. YOUR character matters. It's just so different from how wow is. God ffxiv is amazing!

Guild is why I still play it. I have no one here and may quit when I finish the story because no endgame = no me.

Simple answer is most 14 content creators aren't fun to watch. Only one I could get into was Xenosys and that state of the realm podcast.

Honestly, I bounce between FFXIV and Guildwars 2.

Everytime I come back from a break to FFXIV, I feel like I can hit the ground running. It took me minutes to be ready to go for Bozja when it first launched- they even gave me a free weapon.

Everytime I come back to GW2, I feel way over my head. The meta has completely changed, I have to re-learn rotation/builds; I have to re "get-gud", and more-over I often have to do all kinds of homework figuring out what equipment I need to be able to use the current meta. On top of all that, I usually have to play catch up to get some kind of skill-set (called masteries) to be relevant/get through the content. I love the game, but that first week getting back into it, I get stomped by trash mobs as I'm figuring out the new build. (Disclaimer: I do not have the highest tier of gear, which I'm sure would make a huge difference, but I just don’t have enough time to merit getting it, especially when I can clear the core game with 2nd tier gear)
