Square Enix respects my time

So I tend to keep up on other MMO's and content creators for those MMO's. I think in the WoW community Belluar is known as a pretty big fan of WoW as 90% of his content is all WoW.

Below is a 39 minute video where he is going over the latest test realm stuff that seems specifically designed to punish players and increase hours played with little reward. First time I have seen him actually snap at how cruel and pointless some of these new systems are to players.

Around 25 minutes or so they mention FF14 and shout out Square Enix. I think some people who post here forget how insane the MMO world has become with this RNG end game stuff.

We are complaining about bunny hats and casuals needing better ways to learn their rotations. These guys are complaining about core fundamental broken concepts with a 16 year old MMO.

Just appreciate what you got here people.

Edit: I am not bashing WoW. Got a few other post if you want to see that...if anything I BEGGGGED BEGGGED Square Enix to copy and paste their entire Transmog system into FF14 and literally made a massive thing called "Just trash the glamour system".

It is the games biggest competition. Pretending like it does not exist and constantly having to remind the children on this forum how bad it can get seems worth it. There is an ENTIRE thread below this one about DPS meters where Square Enix devs specifically base this MMO's policy on it from what they saw in WoW.

The reason I posted this is because you have to understand by making this video Belluar is burning bridges with Blizzard and then also mentioning FF14 for a WoW content creator in a positive light is a taboo.

Policy and enforcement of the policy can differ slightly as long as it does not negate the policy altogether and there is still some deterrence effect in place.

The status quo seems to work well for FFXIV. If they feel they need to change it one way or another, then they will.

I heard Bellular leaving WoW for FF14, and it was the best news I'd heard all day.

As a rule of thumb I'm not big on YouTube celebrities and tend not to watch them. Bellular was a rare exception, he's likable, his content is professional, he takes a very objective look at things and he's always well informed. I'm still subbed to him even though I haven't watched his videos since leaving WoW 2 expansions ago, but I'm glad to hear he's coming over here.

Is he actually coming? Cause I keep hearing people say that but I've not seen him actually say he's playing or his thoughts on it. The last thing I remember him saying anything was him talking about how the anime thing wasn't his thing. This was when he was talking about LoL's devs making a LoL mmo. From that video he's more into the western look and isn't a fan of the anime look.
