Complete Collector's Edition Upgrade with full Complete Collector's Edition possible?

Heyho Forum,

I bought the game two weeks ago for the full price (+ expansions) and it's a lot of fun!
Today I wake up and see we have a 60% discount on everything so I kind of felt a stinging pain in my wallet. What's even worse is that I'd have to pay 30€ for the Complete Collector's Edition right now but the Mogstation upgrade without base game and expansions still costs 50€. Is there a discounted upgrade I could buy? I'd even buy the Complete Collector's Edition if there's a way to only redeem the bonus items on my main account. I really don't want to start all over again since I'm short on time. The only reason I was able to make so much progress in the last two weeks because I had a low workload block module in University but that time's sadly over.

I'd really appreciate any suggestions on what to do!

The Collector's Edition game code is a single key, not a standard game code and a CE upgrade code. Using the CE game code will apply the CE items to your account and then be unusable as a new game code.

But you'd still be saving 20€ off the Mog Station upgrade price, right?

I’m not sure if the Collectors Edition would behave the same, but when I added complete edition (NOT collector’s) for Mac platform, where I’ve already had the starter edition, it simply added the later 2 expansion licenses. I did not get double license of ARR and HW. It also doesn’t look like I got any additional game time. (I was hoping it’d add 30 days. )

I haven’t downloaded the expansions on my Mac so I’m not 100% sure, but seeing that it did not require me to register it under a different service account, I think I still have access to the same characters on Mac.

Not if you apply the CE code to your already-existing SquareEnix account under the already-existing FFXIV service account!

I'm assuming from the use of € that you're looking at the EU SE store, so the game code will be a EU game code.
Is your SE account EU region? The SE account region and the game code region need to match.
Is your current license PC, PS4, PS5, or Steam? Steam licenses are incompatible with normal PC game codes.
Don't create a new SE account when you register the game code.
Don't create a new FFXIV service account when you register the game code.

I don't have enough information here. Is your SquareEnix account in the EU region? Is your current license PC, PS4, PS5, or Steam?

Yeondan, I submitted a ticket and I received today the answer: we can't upgrade our existing account taking advantage from the 60% discount. This is the answer I received:

Please note that since you already have the full version of the game on PC, you are not able to register a new code for the PC version, even if it is for the collector's edition.
The only way you can received the collector's edition items is via the digital upgrade from the MogStation. In other words, you cannot benefit from the discount offered by the Square Enix store.

Damn, i wish i had seen this thread before i bought the complete collectors edition thinking i could add it to my existing account. Hope i can get a refund!
