I have to many Bozjan coins, I would trade them for notes. I don't need the coins. I'd trade all my coins for Lyon and Sartauvoir. I know the 1v1 is a guaranteed- but only if you complete it- and only if you're chosen when you get the prompt to duel. I've always accepted the Lyon fate duel- and never been chosen.
The drop rate of these is bad. It's not a fun map or zone to be in at any given time. I don't mind farming, but only if it's guaranteed after a certain extent. You could likely never get these note drops- Lyon and Sartauvoir are the only ones I've needed for months and nothing yet still.

Yeah too many indeed and those coins means nothing now. And I don't want to throw them away in case they decide to let us buy them later. ( -3-) What a weird state to be in.

+1 for me on this, I'm slowly but surely reaching the final stretch on these field notes but it's really not fun hoping you just get good rng - you could potentially be doing this for a very long time and never get the drop. 100% should have some kind of buyable system in place. I'm also still trying to get one more note from DR and it just seems to be eluding me. Would it have been so wrong for them to have made it that if you cleared a fight in CLL/DR/DAL without getting hit by avoidable damage, that you would always get a field note?

I'll just say it straight, I love the lore of Bozja and I loved the story. I liked figuring out all the mechanics and stuff but farming field notes from duels makes me physically sick and I can't stand the place.

And it doesn't even come down to the fact that duels are difficult (which they can be), it's primarily because of feeling antisipation of finally spawning them and downing the fate boss, and seeing the duel sign pop, only to be sniped the chance by a person who camped the main camp the entire time. This makes me feel like "what's the point of me wasting my time on this content where the fact that you're 'guaranteed' the field note doesn't matter, if you're not guaranteed the chance of even trying to prog the duel". In perspective, that's similar to if you had to win lottery for a spot in a weekly reclear party try, but it's not even guaranteed your party will clear in that one try since there are 7 other people besides you who can make mistakes and wipe you.

In all other aspects of the game, you get rewarded for hard work: be it mount totems, savage reclear drops, ultimate weapons drop, guaranteed rewards for titles, etc. But the way duels work atm feels like a spit in your face for the time and effort you spend on this content.

If things won't change, perhaps I will only return to Bozja once it completely dies and it's as desolated as old HW Diadem.

P.s. and I love progging duels. I did all ultimates and ShB raids and this kind of challenging content really vibes with me. But the rng chance on even getting in is depressing.

Exactly, in other places, they seem to be the kind of dev who respect player's time, I don't see it here in farming notes in Bozjia and Zadnor. It's RNG stack upon each other.
Which is sad really because I love every bit of lore on those field notes. It's so flesh out. I want more of the story from Dalmasca.

Sartauvoir note:
A handful of people chase useless fates to clear an hypothetical queue and kill endlessly scorpions while other just camp in the area.
Count 90 min to 155 min (yes ! a 2h35min wait) before the fate pop and get nothing.
That was me everyday last week and many times since the Southern front was released
I have several stack of all coins i will never use.

I have enough raw emotions for 8 relic weapons from Dalriada but i can still get more mettle. No Lyon II or Menenius II yet tho.

I have been selected for duel only once, the first day of Bozjan release. It didn't end well

Please, make field note exchangeable for coins before i lose my sanity

I just hope SE will do any of the following:
a) increase drop rates of field note drops, especially 5*. I get it that they're supposed to be rare, but I don't think they're worth gacha games 0.05% drop rate rare. Even gacha games have pity system.

b) Figure out better duel eligibility. Maybe have a set timer that 3 people can try the duel in a row. The cooldown between same duel possible spawn is around an hour (or so people say). Some people wait for hours to get their chance at a duel only for some random camper die in first 10 seconds for the cycle to repeat. Can't we have if someone dies under certain timer for the next person to give it a try? Or something.

c) have the field notes be purchaseable via clusters/Bozjan or Platinum Coins.

P.s. I actually broke down a little because I spent hours trying to get into the Menenius duel, only to die due to panick attack at 4 notoriety stacks I wasted my time and mental health over an item that's pretty much is part of casual content. I'm not even sure if I should continue trying to get the damn mount, when it's been nothing but pain. Not fun one at that either.

I really hope they do something about it. It's the only thing we can do. Pray. What a sorry state to be in. It'd be easier if I'm not a big fan of FF12 and I desperately want it.

Grinding Dyunbu for days now. I can at least understand duel notes like Sart and Lyon being a pain since you can duel for a guarantee, but there's no alternative for Dyunbu. And Bozja basically doesn't give mettle so I can't even be grinding Suns while I'm in here, just a total waste of time while I AFK between Skirmish pops.

Doing Southern Front skirmishes as rank 25 feels terrible too. Been staying at the Murder, Death, Kill skirmish for too much time with pitiful mettle and no field note.
It sucks since this is the only note I am missing and the amount of time spent in SF is major mettle loss compared to Zadnor.
