It's not as hard as it seems. Winning an open tournament is fairly easy. They happen every two hours and only take a few minutes so you can usually play three, if not four tournaments per 30 minute window. Sometimes there aren't even any other players and it's just you vs NPCs.
Do open tournaments count? I won the first one of those I played.
It's easy because the open tournaments happen every 3 hours, and a lot of the time your opponents are all NPCs. Eventually you will get lucky enough to beat all of them and win because they are NPCs. Sometimes you can't avoid a draw with them with the cards you got, but if you give it enough tries it will work. I got it fairly quickly just doing it once a week for my weekly challenge log.
That card is very easy to get. Keep trying and you should get first, especially if you are against all NPCs or even just one other player.
The Phoenix card is not hard since you only need 1st place once. The Shantotto card is harder since it needs 30 tourney wins which is only held every two weeks.
Open tournaments happen often enough to make this reasonable.
I'm just thankful they realized needing all of the EX cards would've been dumb with how infrequently the normal tournaments occur.
That's probably why they made the EX category in the first place.
This card is very easy to obtain. I don't see the issue here.
if you are not good with a card then wait untul server in downtime and make sure nobody around to reg for tournement, if nobody beside you reg for it game will fill the rest of candidates with NPC and it's easy to win against then
