Is anyone else fed up with the single player trend of FF14?

Is anyone else fed up with the so-called "single player instances" in the MSQ? I've always considered the MSQ a communal activity since this is an MMO. In ARR your MSQ filled with dungeons every few levels and there are very few single player instances. You also have to do them with other players. I'm very disturbed by the trend in FF14 that is turning this game into a single player game. One of the worst culprits is the Trust system that basically takes away the need to interact with people at all. Have we grown so narcissistic as a society that we must have the instances all to ourselves? Have we grown so narcissistic that we won't even entertain the option of playing with other people?

Ok so stop using narcissistic...but you do have a point about the Trust system ill grant you that. I agree that instance are shying away from group effort but the purpose is so people doing the story wont get stuck on ques.

There is "no incentive ritual" which leads to the ridiculous bonus for Msq roulette so new people can get through story. Now imagine they did that for every instance....

This is not a traditional MMO. Just has some its flavors. Labeling everyone with your judgment I know is the troll bait...IMO though this is a good topic..

This is not true. All of their posts seem to be a regurgitation of hot topics within the FFXIV community. These threads, and or the threads they keep on digging up, are meant to get the community bickering with each other. Some have seen through the ruse and do not give attention, others continue to give attention, discuss the faux topic as the OP actually intended, or discuss the OP in general - which is also something I think the OP seems to want. I get it, it's a lull between patches, but the best thing to do is not respond at all (don't do what I am doing) - since there doesn't seem to be anything written in the ToS that the OP is actually breaking, unless a moderator steps in and makes an executive decision which is the only thing they could do with the way the forum guidelines are written (at their discretion).

Nobody is stopping you from queuing with others. If they indeed went single player, they'd all be trust runs only, without a duty finder / party finder ability.
I don't see why someone wanting to play single player is a problem. Play the game how you want, so to speak.
If there was a single player version of the FF14 story, they'd probably play that instead, but there's not, so here we are.

I think they are complaining about the solo story duties, not dungeons. But it's brofist/titanmen. Nothing they say is an actual argument, they're just trolling.

But saying "Oh, it's an MMO, so it should force multiplayer content" is just as bad as solo players saying "theres too much multiplayer content" on an MMO.
Is it so wrong that they kept the multiplayer content, but added a way for them to single play it as well?
