A Gazebo to Call Our Own

I am having a lot of feels right now and this may come across discombobulated.

I submitted my designs for various gazebos to both Furnishing Design Contest, I have them in the sent box still to prove it, one of them even called Glade Gazebo. But I don't recall seeing my submission in any of the winners announcements nor did I get an email saying that they are using the essence of my idea, because style wise my gazebos are totally different looking.

I fully concepted a Glade, Riviera, and Oasis designs with musing about how the styles of the beast tribes could be undomesticated gazebos, or that the chocobo, moogle, carbuncle, paissa styles would be fun to explore.

Finally, I have issue with the Glade Gazebo using a Riviera Lantern in the recipe.

Edit: The intended point was missed in the above, I'm curious if there was a slip up in the notes, should it have been pictured as just new furnishings not contest winners, and did they mean to name it riviera not glade.

I'm confused, so what do you think they stole? You don't own the concept of gazebos, nor did you create it.

Stole is a strong word, I am simply stating that I submitted a Glade Gazebos (that was even the name) that was a gazebo utilizing design elements of glade style, but I don't think the newly added furnishing is very glade looking, so why call it that?

Furthermore, I don't recall seeing any gazebo in any of the winning announcements yet the Glade Gazebo was listed under the Furnishings from the FFXIV Furnishing Design Contest section of the patch notes.

Congratulations, you're whining about them using the name "Glade Gazebo", which you in turn based off of an already-established furniture line in the game. As Nafreyu said above, 'the essence of your idea' implies you think they stole your idea, but you admit that the finished product looks nothing like what you submitted. Get over yourself lol.

Obviously, there were many submission and winners, and most are not novel or unique idea and are derived from real life chairs, beds, tables, cabinets and literally every possible furnishing.

I am perplexed by this particular piece because none of the winners look like it, and there was a section of the patch notes that was about new furnishings that were not part of the contest.

I also just don't see what about this gazebo matches any existing glade furnishings, it fits in better to the riviera maybe. Mine looks different because mine used design principals from existing glade sets.

There is no error in the patch notes. Try reading them again.

Furnishings from the FFXIV Furnishing Design Contest have been added.

Additional contest entries have been selected to serve as new furnishings.

I don't see the word "winner" getting used there.

“A Gazebo to Call Our Own” seems to be a winner from the 2017 contest. The design was Doman style with full title as “Doman Garden House (A Gazebo to Call Our Own)”

As for the Riviera lantern being used instead, maybe that’s a game balance issue. There’s already recipe using Glade lantern (The Unending Journey) but none were using Oasis or Riviera lanterns until now.
