Is there a reason SE is not trying to future proof content AT ALL?

This new Bozja zone (Zadnor) is wildly easy to grind through. In just a few hours you can get to max rank.

Why do they want us to be able to finish this content in less than a day? They know that there are 6 months to fill until Endwalker right?

Just curious, because from a business standpoint it doesn't make any sense to have the players have virtually nothing to do for that length of time since they can breeze through it so quickly.

I'm not complaining by any means, because truthfully I hate Bozja and it still seems like a hollow shell of what Eureka was (less style, less substance) when it should have been a celebration of everything that they learned from Eureka as far as what worked and what didn't work, so trust me I'm happy to be basically done with it in such a short amount of time--just surprised that they've done such a poor job future proofing it. I feel sorry for people that aren't doing this now and who didn't do their Castrum LL stuff before, because I'm sure that's already dead as of the patch launch today.

Fates/CEs scale to the number of people in the instance so it'll be fine even if it's not packed. It's also a super effective way to level 71-80 so I'm sure there will always be some amount of people in there.

That's probably way more future proof than Eureka ever was/is.

Hmm, I dunno. I did like 90% of my eureka stuff long after it was relevant, when I finally got around to finishing it here during shadowbringers. On the other hand, I recently went into bozja out of boredom, and found it completely dead. Nobody was even there or doing anything.

Not really, considering people still go into Eureka to this day because Eureka had:

1) Mounts that are actually rare. Meanwhile the gabriel mount is way too common

2) Bunny fates with unique hair, emotes and mounts

3) Lockboxes with unique mounts and glamour items (while Bozja's stuff is just the gabriel mount and then a bunch of crafted items you can easily get from old primals)

4) It was the only way to get the SB relic, meanwhile for most of the steps for the ShB relic (especially after nerfs) doing nearly anything related to Bozja is the less effective way to get the relic compared to just doing fates in old zones

5) BA, which has benefits to running it multiple times meanwhile Delubrum Savage does not. It's a one-and-done instance.

To be fair, this was the state of Eureka prior to echo. Getting through Anemos and Pagos took forever. You also have to consider Zandor has the newness shine right now while Bozja has been out since last year due to the delays. So it's not really surprising people are kind of done with it at the moment.

Being able to do it in a day is future-proofing it, because if you compare it to Eureka in Stormblood, you don't do that in a day.

You only have to spend a day doing it, but you can spend weeks doing it for optional things like mounts, minions, getting all relic weapons, collecting all the actions and buffs, doing all of the duels and things like that.

That's how it should be. You only have to spend a day doing it but there are grinds you can occupy yourself with for weeks if you have nothing else to do with your time.

If you've done everything and are completely caught up.. why on earth would you try and twiddle your thumbs in FFXIV when it's obvious that the devs aren't going to artificially drag 1 month of content out over 6 months.

That sounds to me like it's the sensible thing to do if you feel like you've got nothing to do in-between 5.55 and 6.0.
