Is it crappy that they cannot deliver more hair styles? yes. Is it the end of the world that is costing them subs? Maybe a handful, but not likely even a remotely noticeable amount. They likely had to make a choice, and they chose to appease the ppl who have the 2 year old, thousands of replies long thread about wanting male viera over those who just want new hair. And they chose reasonably.

You can't make sense to zealots, they are referred as zealots for a reason.

They are often simple minded and ignored the reality factors that comes into play. For example, people wants house will ignore the existence of supply vs demand. They also thinks to solve the issue is simply just getting more servers and ignore fact of NA's high stand of cost of rent, labor, and maintenance.

Trying to talk sense is an act of playing piano to a cow and often they will label you as White Knight. This Viera hair group is one of the worst of them. Release Viera is likely something SE deeply regretted as Personal Housing release

Because Square is greedy and racist against Viera, they won't be getting a variant. Like, seriously. Enough is enough. It's dumb that they literally exclude hair variants for an entire race in the game due to greed. It should be a standard to make variants for Viera for every added hair.

There has been more than ample time to accomplish that. Now, they are going to add Viera boys just to increase the number of people they will racially exclude new customization options to in the name of greed. And yeah, they have every right to exclude races of customization additions, just as we have every right to complain and incentivize them to choose to stop excluding races.

It should be unacceptable at this point. This is not a status quo we should tolerate any longer. We have clearly waited long enough. Square is screwing us over because they refuse to give FFXIV its proper budget to meet what should be a minimum. Clearly, they aren't going to change anything on their own w/o us making a fit over it. After this long, that can not be denied.

First off, they never needed to add Viera. They added them because YOU wanted them. They are doing what they can and will for the community because you guys wanted it. And judging by your crappy attitude, they shouldn't have.

FFXIV is a product. They make things to make money. Viera wasn't a gift. It was an extension to their product to encourage the continued subscription and use of that product. That product extension is being racially excluded of features other similar product inclusions possess. This has been the state of being for a period of about two years now with essentially no communication to us about it, which is unacceptable for many customers that extension is relevant to. Square Enix isn't your dad. It's a corporation that exists to elicit profit from customers. This forum exists in part for the purpose of customers complaining about the product they have paid / are paying for. If you don't like that, you don't have to participate, but we use the forum for its intended purpose regardless. The only reason a mega thread wasn't started over this much sooner was because, as far as we knew, they didn't need convincing or coaxing to actually do it. They had already consented to adding hairstyles and faces/manes before the expansion even came out, so we had no reason to not believe they wouldn't at the time, or that it'd take this long. Because that'd be crazy right? Almost two years with not a single hairstyle added?

I'm not gonna say they choose poorly because in the end that's their decision to make, but like Yandere said, I find it hard to believe they had 0 resources in all this time to even adapt a single hairstyle or give a less vague update than "please wait a bit longer".

Because hairstyles aren't important right now. You think hairstyles take precedence over actual content? Endwalker is a lot bigger than ShadowBringers. Alongside the strict schedule they follow for patches/updates and with Covid-19 impacting their production you seriously think hairstyles are more important and should be top priority? You get it when you get it. I'm still waiting for my female Hrothgar which I'm glad is coming. But I'm not sitting here slandering SE like OP.
