Well, this is the tricky part.
The problem is that Hrothgar names aren't "First / Last." A male Hrothgar uses a Slavic first name but since their surname is a variant of their queen( or former queen)'s name, this is one of those things it's impossible to make an educated guess on. I'd imagine it's got Slavic roots like the rest of Hrothgar naming, but past that... who knows. Perhaps some variant on their (favored) consort's forename to mirror the males? /shrug

Right, I meant more forename/surname since that's what the game refers to them as, even if it's not technically referred to that in lore.Well, this is the tricky part.

I was hoping somewhere, somehow they'd named at least one female hrothgar, but all I can think of is Gunnhildr, which isn't helpful as it's just a title that gets passed around. Perhaps we'll get lucky with Bozja tomorrow.
At a guess I'd say there might a specific surname essentially meaning "Queen" that everyone gets. A bit like male Seekers all being either Nunh or Tia, though not quite the same because they still have the tribe letter (which functions like a surname) in their forename.
Then again if the queen's name effectively IS the tribe name then she doesn't need anything additional to identify her tribe.
I could see the Surname being the name of their father. So if Radovan had a daughter named Ziva, she'd be Ziva Radovan.
Just to be clear for any people who haven't read the sticky yet, here are two lists of definitely Hrothgar female forenames.
From the list of surnames for males serving living queens, remove the A-:
- Mira
- Zora
- Vesna
- Zorya
- Stana
- Rodica
- Milan
- Mirka
- Svana
- Vira
- Redna
- Zetina
- Stolla
- Marya
- Tolna
- Tessa
- Yurya
- Mov
- Deanna
- Jolla
From the list of male surnames with dead queens, remove the -sch:
- Zlata
- Liuba
- Branka
- Tira
- Ratya
- Slana
- Enya
- Nata
- Svena*
- Dita
- Anatalya
- Inivi
- Jova
- Ona
- Petya
- Lina
- Ulga
- Maev
- Lentya
- Ova
* In the case of Svena, I'm assuming the name in the lore sticky was meant to be Svenasch, though I'm tickled by the alternate universe where the typo was meant to be Svensch indicating the existence of a Queen Sven.
Do you not think it would be quite strange for a heavily matriarchal society to place that level of importance on a mate's or father's name?

If it uses parent's name, it would probably be mother's.
