To be fair, there's sometimes a little room for greed if the boss is nearly dead or about to change phases, but yeah I'd say it should be the norm to just move out of bad stuff.

Some of the responses in this thread are absolutely hilarious.
Hall of novice: Dont stand in bad
Veteran players: Stand in bad
Forums: We need more tutorials to teach people how to play!!!
This pretty much explains itself..
Note: Taking advice from a players alt, is like taking advice from a voice in a dark room. Criticism is a two way street remember that!!
It's not common, but people do use bots in duty finder sometimes and not all of them are actually designed to bother moving out of AoEs; presumably because they assume most groups will just tolerate it and carry them through the instance.
Just don't res them. And if they say something, say they're a dps loss![]()
Unfortunately, it isn't for a lot of content. I can and have collected seven vuln stacks from the last boss in Grand Cosmos and he [i]still[i] doesn't do half my HP through cooldowns. I've had four in E10N and never come remotely close to dying. Granted, DPS and healers can't collect every vuln stack but this is largely the problem with how low casual content is tuned. People aren't going to respect mechanics when they aren't threatening because there's no reason to. If I can eat Shiva's Axe Kick as a melee, why am I going to disengage and lose damage? It won't kill me, and I can easily heal myself back up with Bloodbath. In later dungeons/raids/etc, you will NEED to learn to move out of aoes WHILE fighting. It is a VALUABLE SKILL and one that you MUST LEARN. Yes, there are some exceptions as your gear/level/skill improves, but you should learn to move around as necessary as soon as possible because not every time will you be able to rely on your party/healer to keep you alive while you just stand there as rooted as a tree, hitting the boss.
The devs need to stop tuning content so low if they want people to care about vuln stacks.
"Stand in the ashes of a trillion dead souls and ask the ghosts if honor matters."
"The silence is your answer."
Devs before Shadowbringers: "Better watch out guys, the incoming damage is gonna be killer! You healers better be healing!"Unfortunately, it isn't for a lot of content. Devs after Shadowbringers: "..."
Guess this is why we're getting stuffs like Twice/Thrice-comes-Ruin and Damage Downs. No wonder people hate them, -a lot-.Unfortunately, it isn't for a lot of content.
