Crafting Log Achievements (I Made That)

So, obviously these were not included in this expansion because of the Resplendent tools, but could we have them back in Endwalker, please?

I have found it really fun to complete my crafting log in the past two expansions; going out into the world to gather so many different and unique materials and calculating how much I'd need to complete everything, then being rewarded with a cool shiny tool for my troubles. Sure, I wouldn't call those experiences "difficult" but they felt fresh and rewarding for the time investment.

While I have still kept up with my crafting log in Shadowbringers and enjoyed my time doing it, it's lame having no reward whatsoever for it. Whether or not Resplendent tools were worth taking over this role for crafters...well, we'll see what the data shows for how many people bothered to do those before Endwalker. Regardless, it would be nice to have these achievements return for those who enjoyed them in the past. Perhaps if Resplendent tool grinding is here to stay we could see our first batch of shiny secondary tools return to fill the "I Made That" gap?

Just some thoughts...does anyone else miss these?

I definitely miss them. It was a great bonus for crafting one of everything. I was actually looking forward to all the tools since I had kept up on my log. Then there's the fact that they could have helped me as a stepping stone to finish a few of the new Ishgard achievements and relics too.

At least the gathering ones are still viable to get the tools.

Really talk though about expert crafting burnout this expansion. I enjoyed the expert crafting addition at first, but then the grinds for Ishgard restoration stages, the relic tools, and now resplendent tools...it's all just way too much.

I support this. This encourages people to go through crafting logs, and rewards those who actually do. Obviously, the dev won't want to design lvl 81 to 89 recipe items, only to see that they're all skipped, which wastes their effort. So bringing this achievement back in Endwalker is a good idea.

Yes, definitely miss them. I'd probably be ingame working my way through the last of the housing items right now, but I haven't touched the Resplendent Tools or indeed really crafted much beyond pots and raid food lately.

They really missed the mark with endgame crafters this expansion. We loved crafting for what it was, the leveling, the gearing, the toolkit and theorycraft, making those first Master Recipes, being rewarded via the mb and being helpful to friends and FC. It was a journey and all of it together made crafting a satisfying experience. Not this immense burn-out inducing grind on Experts all expansion...
