It seems to me that there's no reason why they wouldn't make it permanently settable if they could, so I assume that they can't.
At least we can change it temporarily, which is better than nothing.
Even in context it's pretty word-salady.

It seems to me that there's no reason why they wouldn't make it permanently settable if they could, so I assume that they can't.Admittedly, I actually wish they would let you select which theme you want. As I recall, if you click to watch the opening cinematic of a given expansion, it will show that expansion's log-in screen afterward; why not just make that kind of permanent? Even if it's just a temporary file on your system.

I liked all the expansion title screens but A Realm Reborn is easily my favorite. I hope it's closer to that.

it will be a empty screen with just the login
"Stop right there, criminal scum! Nobody breaks the terms of service on my watch! I'm reporting your illegal mods, now enjoy your time in gm jail."

It's from the Shadowbringers main theme.
"Home
Flying home
Dying hope
Hold on to hope"
Thing is, aside from just being kinda jarringly loud, it also makes no real sense out of context. Just comes across as word salad.

Of the expansions that have been released so far, my favorite login screen is the one from Heavensward.

Stormblood had the best title screen. Shadows is right behind it. With ARR being in third place. Fight me. >:O
I hope for something like this, but using the guitar riffs of the endwalker trailer youtube video

Heavensward is still my favorite, nice somewhat soft piano, didn't blast the speakers and it sounded just amazing.
Stormblood.......I had to turn down my volume darn near every login because of HOW LOUD those drums were, like after that initial drum intro its not too bad but WHY did that have to be 90% of what I hear because I just want to login and get the title screen over with because of that.
Shadowbringers was an improvement in my opinion. The vocals are bass, and not ear piercing volume compared to the rest and I can keep my volume up as it doesn't....how do I put this. The drum from stormblood kind of broke any form silence, like the opposite of a white noise that blends in but shadowbringers doesn't do that, and its not as soft as heavensward, but I can tolerate it much easier then stormblood.
I wouldn't mind endwalker either being a soft but epic intro, or something that just isn't on stormbloods waking the dead levels of loud intro.

I personally find both of the storylines touching. I can empathize for the Ascians - they lost everything for so long, and for them, the people of our stars are fleeting and insignificant. It’s not even a matter of feeling superior, but just because they live for so *long* that I imagine it would be difficult to care for those whos lives may seem like nothing more than the lives of ants. Tiny, interesting in their valiance, but otherwise one of many. They want their friends back, they want their LIVES back. Theyre tempered, with enough chain to be able to turn around and look at it, but not enough to leave. The writers themselves have stated that it's a matter of perspective, as seen here:
I think people should be cautious and separate reality from fiction. None of the characters are real, so people are absolutely free to like and root for whoever they so wish. After all, it's just a video-game.
And I can empathize with OUR plight to. *We* have friends, *we* have hopes too. *We’ve* lost people, and unlike the Ascians we *can’t* get them back. We want the *chance* to live our fleeting lives to the fullest, even if that means days of suffering and death and loss - because ultimately we’re sentient beings too, and we deserve to live out those pains, we deserve to live out our happiness and our sadness.
It’s hard to pick a side, for me, because theyre both fighting for what they believe in, and no matter which side wins, it’ll be a bitter and foul end.
Anyways uh... Im hoping for some soft piano version of the theme, this go round.
