Parsers add replayability for casual players

This really is not the same as dealing with a stranger in a game being incredibly rude.

Also no one should be made to feel at fault for having enough self respect that they won't tolerate horrible behaviour even from those they love. Having no tolerance doesn't mean you cut them off the instant they cross a line, it just means you won't allow yourself to be someone's punching bag. You tell them their behaviour is not cool, wait until they calm down, and then talk again later. No one should ever have to feel like they should endure abuse just to prove how loyal they are. Loyalty does not mean you accept any kind of treatment, it means you will always do your best for a person and sometimes that does mean showing them their behaviour needs to change, and staying with them while they work on that.

No they dont and I dont. Ever. I had a friend who did that to me once. I disowned him. Had someone do that to me ingame. Blacklisted forever. If you cant get your message across without resorting to foul language or abuse, then dont talk to me at all.



You have a lot to learn about how to effectively communicate then.

I just generally have the idea that what a person says only has power over me if I allow it. Someone calls me an anti social atutis I just smile and move on cause it is true. Someone pokes fun at my race I just ignore them and move on. Someone calls me a f**king dense s**tbag and that I should get a life, depending on why they said it I may ask why they feel the way if they refuse to give a response I just move on.

Generally I just have this approach words only have power if I give them power. This was just how I was raised.

I know I have a lot to learn about communication but despite my shortcomings when it comes to communicate and social interactions I am doing my best to get through life. I treat others how I wish or prefer to be treated. I rather know exactly where I stand with a person and rather people be honest in their raw form. If that means they have to use slurs or whatever to convey what they feel in that moment so be it. Once again I do understand my way of thinking differs greatly from many.

Lately I've found myself wondering why I bother running level cap content. Sure, it earns me better gear, but it's not like I can notice those incremental improvements without a parser. I'm on console so I can't even download one sneakily if I wanted to.

If I were into Savage/Extremes, you could make a case that I should care about my gear so that I can make those clears easier on my group. But I stopped doing PF content in Stormblood because it just causes me to burn out super fast. Regular content is pretty faceroll without great gear so my gear doesn't make or break my party.

So without any way to notice my improvement in normal content, why should I care about my item level? All I care is that I have the ilvl to enter content to get through the story and that's literally it. I don't even care to get my ilvl up for Endwalker since it'll all be available for Poetics in November anyway.

I know I don't need to have the best gear for my content. But having a parser, or even being given a grade at the end of a duty, would add so much replayability to end game content for me. I would keep working toward perfecting my gear because I could see the fruits of my labor.

Yeah I know, no one is forcing me to play level 80 stuff, I can level other jobs, there is side content, etc. Yeah I play other parts of the game. But I really wish I didn't feel like abandoning something the second it hits 80 because I've run out of goals for that job.

Please add parsers to your game SE. Casual console players would have more reason to play end game content. Item level is not fun to track. Output/throughput is!

We maybe you could make an fc with all console players? Then all that matters is working together and getting the best gear you can.

Parsers in WoW just caused stress for me because they were very much anticipated and somewhat mandated. I'm a casual player and I care about my performance, but I do not care about it to a point I need to know the exact numbers out in-front of me.

It gets to a point where you're rated purely on those numbers and nothing else. That's not the type of community I want to be in.

If parsers become a tool to judge other players with then: No. I will not support that.

Consider the argument in this thread. Many raiders are coming in and saying they want to not only hold people to their arbitrary standards in their own content, but they want the content aimed at the casual playerbase to also hold to those arbitrary standards.

They want to be like what they had in WOW, gatekeepers as to who does what content and when and to "weed out" all those they deem "not worthy" of said content

Hiding logs in general is frowned upon. I may not be proud of mine - especially during last tier - but keeping them concealed lowkey makes me looks sus.
