I never understand comments like this, do you find hitting buttons that are strictly worse than other buttons fun? I don't get that, making the button serve a purpose is more fun for everyone.

MCH was my main in Stormblood is my answer to your question, but more importantly; my facetious comment invoking a serious question from anyone was something I had not anticipated.
"Brotherhood asked for no friendship, only loyalty. They stood back to back as the galaxy burned - always brothers, never friends; traitors together unto the last."

I assume that if people are bad enough at video games, they have to cling to things like this to at least even things out a little.
DPS loss or not, it has a actual use and a solid place in a working rotation. I dont care if my not so optimal rotation makes you stay 0.05seconds longer in Dungeons or Raids, as long as it gets results, it works for me.
While Black Mages don't have their nose in the books 24/7 like Summoner and Scholar does, we are still high educated and often in the
library als well. We speak fluent enochian at the least.
You can't just throw out some spells at random. Magic is science!
No offense, but I don't really understand where you get off accusing others of being bad at video games? I've noticed a lot that people who don't even raid have a tendency on these forums to attack people who have a demonstrable history of competence in gameplay. You yourself state that you know you are performing the wrong rotation, so where is this haughty confidence coming from?I assume that if people are bad enough at video games, they have to cling to things like this to at least even things out a little.

I mean do what you want to do, but it doesn't have a solid place. If it is actively doing less DPS then it isn't solid lol.I assume that if people are bad enough at video games, they have to cling to things like this to at least even things out a little.

The point of this thread is Fire II needs to be reworked so it ISN'T a DPS loss to use
As long as the end result ends in being victorious, it doesn't matter if you perform your rotation or overall gameplay perfectly to the T. Things either work, or they don't, it is as simple as that and the rotation i mentioned earlier might not be perfect, but it is indeed working, maybe just try queuing for expert roulette or some dungeon and try it out yourself, maybe trying it out might give you another impression on what i mean.
If you only follow the Path of least resistance for the sake of comfort, it shows to me that this person doesn't like dealing with tough situations and will under normal circumstances, not be a realiable person to carry out critical tasks in a newfound situation. That's why i see those kind of people as bad players. But that's just my two cents on the matter.
This is some truly head-scratching stuff. What tough situations in-game have you been in where you successfully carried out critical tasks in newfound situations, and what about those scenarios makes you think people who perform their correct rotation wouldn't be able to do that?As long as the end result ends in being victorious, it doesn't matter if you perform your rotation or overall gameplay perfectly to the T. I would argue that the vast majority of people who actively raid in this game could likely be trusted more with such a thing. Are you sure you're not just rationalizing your fire 2 usage after the fact?

Yeah I give up, there's no logic to be found here
