R.I.P: Kentaro Miura

I'd just like to take a moment to bring this up. It was announced today that Kentaro Miura, the mangaka behind Berserk has passed away. Berserk has influenced many forms of anime/manga media for over nearly two decades and one of those things is definitely the JRPG industry, including Final Fantasy.

I've been a Berserk fan since the mid 2000s and I'd go back every year to re-read and catch up with any new chapters. I didn't mind the long content droughts or hiatuses because Miura was always good to his fan base and he always delivered high quality content, from the way his character arcs were built to the incredible way he brought his universe to life with the stroke of a pen.

A lot of you have probably never read or watched Berserk, and that's fine. I just want to bring more awareness to the end of a chapter in a great man's legacy.

May the adventures of Guts and his party continue forever.

He definitely inspired many Final Fantasy games aswell as a lot of RPG out there.
I don't think it's an exageration to say he popularized the Dark Fantasy genre.

May he rest in piece, his work is and will remain one of the greatest art the world ever witnessed.

We don't know what's going to happen to the series yet, but he had assistants in Studio Gaga and we know he had a rough idea for several plot points, perhaps said assistants will be able to continue his work.
