Karma system in the official forums?

Is it really that helpful to be naming users like this? It may even be against the forum guidelines to do so.

I'm not particularly afraid in this instance. I could've sworn I've done it once before, but it's not in my post history, so either the thread it was in got nuked or it got deleted. Either way I didn't eat a ban over it, and a quick search on any of these accounts shows I'm not just blowing smoke.

I'll risk punitive action if it means making people more aware, in any case.
