    And wouldn't be surprised if is a bigger need for them than the east coast, clearly the metrics say so and the business case.

    OCE have to play on 250+ ping no matter what they pick for server. Hard eastern US get like 150 at worst unless their internet is just really bad, which having east coast wouldn't help THAT much with.

    OCE needs it more.

    As a US East player I'm more than happy that Oceania is getting their own servers Wooot. Next it should be South America ones.

    I do wish they'd put aether back on the east. for us european players the latency difference is definitely noticable. and as a great number of us said back when they moved it. Expecting us to jump ship to the european data centre and abandon all the friends and connections we'd made some going all the way back to 1.0 just isn't an option. but I know plenty of people in the US who have also had increased latency / connection issues since they moved it.

    I get tht its an issue, but OCE players have had high ping and lag issues since ARR. They have waited long enough. TBH it may be becuase im in EU, but i never heard ast coast US players having issues before. (not saying that you dont just i havent heard of them before) While I have heard constantly about OCE needing a Data centre in their region.

    I think this is a win for OCE players but also a good pointer that the game is going to continue for many years to come.
