Forced to preorder early because of Wind-up Palom

Can whoever made the decision to separate Wind-up Palom and Wind-up Porom please explain what they were thinking? Why is Wind-up Palom a preorder reward but Wind-up Porom a digital collector's edition reward? Palom and Porom are twins and so someone who wants one of the minions will want to get another one. Separating the two and making one of them completely unobtainable after Endwalker release means that a newbie will never be able to get Wind-up Palom since Square Enix never released any preorder reward on the MogStation. Even I who is playing right now feel forced to preorder just to make sure I can get the Wind-up Palom since I already decided to get the digital collector's edition for the mount. If you have OCD this means that you pretty much have to preorder the digital collector's edition to get both minions even if you want to wait for reviews to come out before buying the expansion. For newbies in the future they will never be able to get both minions. So in the future newbies are forced to buy the regular edition of Endwalker if they have OCD otherwise they will only get one of the two twins as a minion. Please tell the developer to release Wind-up Palom on the MogStation so people don't feel pressured to buy the expansion before reviews come out.

The difference is Wind-up Porom is accessible forever by buying the Digital Collector's edition for Endwalker, but Wind-up Palom will be inaccessible forever after November 23. So players after November 23 can only get one of the two. This is questionable design and the developers need to address this since the GMs don't seem to care.

Game company's have been doing stuff like this for years and years now, don't think SE is above it.
Look at just all the minions you can only get from buying their merch.

This is not OCD. OCD is a mental illness that causes distress that suffer from it.

This is FOMO or ポケモンＧＥＴだぜー！(gotta get 'em all) and exactly what the company wants, they want the money now as it will lock people in*, so the bait of a minion that will be a "get it or miss it" event pushes those who wouldn't buy now, into buying now. Basic sales psychology.

*lock in comes from... Hmmm, there is also a new WoW expansion, but I did already pay for EW for that minion, so I may as well play EW come November.

Aside of making them a duo minion, you can't have them both summoned at the same time anyway.

I do think the "lost forever" approach to digital preorder bonuses is a poor one, though. A long period of exclusivity, sure - but at some point it should run out and they get added to the shop.

Definitely, I feel forced to preorder early just to get the exclusive rewards and the EXP boosting earring and to make sure I get both minions. But I also wanted to wait for reviews to come out so I don't accidentally buy a bad expansion. Customers come first and they should not force us to preorder a game before reviews come out with shady tactics like this. Hopefully a developer will see this and change the rewards because the GMs don't seem to be responding to any feedback in this forum.
