They did something similar for, I think it was Heavensward? Saying spring but also making the date in June. I know you want people to be hyped up but just say the date. We'll deal with it![]()

"We want bunny suits for guys!" -- OK! ✅
"We want Ishgard housing!" -- OK! ✅
"We want Viera!" -- OK! ✅
"We want Cloud's motorcycle!" -- OK! ✅
"We want Blue Mage!"-- OK! ✅
"We want the ability to earn past Feast rewards!" - HAHA no that's sacred.
You just countered your own point with this btw. Your all aggressive about them not following your thought of what Fall is but yet you come out and say it yourself that there's different definitions. And I think its a clear winner here for what one the majority of people here follow. You intentionally picked a different dictionary. Realize that there are multiple definitions of fall/autumn and it is also correct to say fall is the period of time when leaves fall on the ground. If you say this is not true then you're saying Merriam Webster is wrong.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Season_creep
The timing of seasons can change and seasons occur at different times for different parts of the world.
Just take the L mate.
Colorado, 1982. We had a massive blizzard that year, like it killed people. However, the summer before that blizzard, we had snow in JULY. So, yeah weather doesn't mean anything in regard to the season dates.
I already have snow and had for 2 or 3 weeks :3
Although we're getting warmer temps this week mixed with rain so I expect it gonna melt a bit.
This is actually untrue, Heavensward was delayed by three months to june. Though prior to an actuall release date being annouced.
Snow has nothing to do with it. In the Northern Hemisphere, Fall is defined as the period between the September Equinox and the Winter Solstice. It has everything to do with the Earth's tilt in relation to the Sun and nothing whatosever to do with the presence of snow or lack thereof. Both Japan and North America are in the Northern Hemisphere, so Fall in both places is from September 21 - December 21.
Why are people necro'ing this thread...
Except that it is. Merriam-Webster redirects to Autumn, which has the following definition:
Source: https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/autumnthe season between summer and winter comprising in the northern hemisphere usually the months of September, October, and November or as reckoned astronomically extending from the September equinox to the December solstice
— called also fall
