lol, you really should follow your own advice and read up on seasons because the truly foolish thing is to assume that everyone around the world actually follows the same definitions.

Different countries/cultures/areas have different dates for when the seasons start and end, even what the seasons are. In Australia, for example, we use the meteorological definitions which sets each season as a three month period starting on the first of the first month in each of those periods. For us this means Spring (which would be autumn in the north) starts September 1st and ends November 30th. It's particularly relevant as googling seems to indicate Japan follows this definition rather than the one used where you live.


edit: This is actually reinforced in the keynote where Yoshi-P/Koji Fox referred to November as very late fall and there was the whole line about whether or not that late would be still be considered fall or winter. So it seems blatantly clear that those using the term "Fall" to reference a period in the year aren't using the same definition as those using the astronomical definitions that wouldn't start winter for weeks.

I suppose it's relative to where everyone is situated across the globe. I think for the sake of communicating the release window they might have been better off just saying late 2021.

Here in Ireland November is regarded as Winter but these last few years that's felt different, probably due to climate change November quite Fall-y. Even December not as cold. January, February and March almost more wintery.

It starts on dec 21st in America to snow doesn't change the fact is is fall I live in Nebraska and it snows sometimes in September or October are they no longer fall?

When company says "game will be released 2021", it will come very late of that year. If they say fall, its gonna be almost winter.
I told my friends the last months, the game will be out november or december. Development always takes time.

Square Enix is aware of that long period until then. The head of translators (Koji Fox) critizided it on stage.

The story should have ended in 7.0. But after they revealed 80% of the background, they wanted to keep the pace and finish it while its momentum is still up.
Therefore a lot of story and sequences will wait for us.

And yes, for me the story should be polished very much, because its the end of a 11 year journey (for me 9).
