Real talk; I feel like we need some new Scions, and the Twins to grow up a bit...

These are actually two different bits of feedback, but I figured I'd bundle them into one thread, so I'm not FLOODING the forums!

On the first bit:

Honestly, the current Scions are a bunch of debbie-downers. They're all WAY too serious. I miss Thancred seeing himself as the most charming playboy in the realm, and Menphilia's unbridled optimism, but also kind and nurturing personality.

Were there some sort of way to cross from the First to the Source, I'd loved to have had one of the Viera sisters from Shadowbringers (specifically Ulmet). Essentially, someone fun and perhaps even "bubbly".

Similarly, I feel like the Scions need a bit of a "bruiser". A big, hearty character who is more a man of action than subtlety. I feel like a Roegadyn or Hrothgar would do well, but none specifically spring to mind.

I honestly wouldn't mind Magnai and Sedu, though it might be a stretch to have either of them leaving the Steppe. G'raha has definitely been a HUGE improvement for the group dynamic, but I'd appreciate more.

Now, as for "the Twins"...

If I'm being honest, I find myself disliking Alphinaud the more time I spend with him. I loved him in ARR, where he was constantly scheming (and it kind of felt like you never quite knew whose side he was on), but while I've definitely grown to prefer his new VA, I feel like Alphinaud has a little TOO much time in the forefront.

I'm supposing this is to have him serve as a literal cypher for us, the player, so he can interact with other characters on our behalf. But he's just... not that interesting anymore. I much prefer when I'm traveling with Tataru, as she's friendly and lightens things up.

Allisae, I'm okay with, although I wouldn't want to spend a WHOLE lot more time with her. A little Allisae goes a long ways, for me.

I'd kind of like to see their designs updated a bit more dramatically, though, to show the passage of SOME amount of time, or at least highlight their differences a little more. Maybe Allisae goes with some braids that stay out of the way when she's fighting, whereas Alphy actually lets his hair down, a bit more casual-looking. Maybe start showing some minor differences in their face-structure at well, so Alphinaud is actually discernably a boy, and vice-versa.

Personally a fan of how they've all grown overall.

Things got very real, very fast, and life just continues to just stomp on their souls in every way imaginable. There's only so many times the world can be on the brink of ending before you lose your playful attitude and outlook towards life.

Elezens take a lot longer to grow up. What you also have to remember is that while the main story takes years for you as a long-time player, it only takes a month for that new player breezing through it. Are they to believe that these twins could grow that much in so little time?

The time doesn't move very much and they keep vague about it because they want you to use your imagination depending on how much time it's been for you.

We did just get a new scion.

Does Zenos count? There is a non-zero chance of Zenos becoming a Scion.

The story from the start hasn't been going on for very long... years' real-time is a fraction of time in-game.

In addition, they are Elezen who take longer to grow.

There have been new Scions... and we have lost a few along the way...

We have these characters already, they are just sitting on the sidelines

Coultenet, Horay and Ocher Boulder, And the rest of them off in their side group at the rising stones.

If they are not being used in the main story we need more side story quests to get to know them better.

Agreed, and this is why a lot of people felt moenbryda's death was a waste. She didn't last two patches yet she was big, burly, a lot of fun and wielded an axe.

I've never got along with the twins, either of them both of them annoy me to no end or they annoy me in trust. Sadly they are deutagonists. Thancred's been up and down like a yoyo for me. But his arcs are effectively over.

Y'shtola's good, Urianger's good language aside (sure i understand him but a lot of people struggle). Graha's a mixed bag, sometimes hes overbearing

meanwhile the best scion tataru, the lady who gets shit done, is playing secratary.

I think most of the current scions will be gone or retiring by the end of 6.0 and start of 6.1. Only Alphinaud and Alisaie, in my opinion, will surely continue on until they become full grown elezens haha. Also Yshtola btw since she is just too popular haha. But the rest is on borrowed time now.

Estinien, Graha Tia and Fordola is a foreshadow of the new lineup of scions. They already stated that Endwalker will also mark the end of several main character's journey as well. Some might get a glorious death or maybe a Lyse treatment wherein they will still be in the game but more of a minor role and pursuing their other interest or journey.

I think Thancred will surely be gone since his character's growth within the scion will just stagnate now that Minfilla is gone. Estinien is our new brooding scion lol. And Graha Tia is the new Urianger.
