Is Zenos becoming a Scion? (Spoilers)

Jesus christ no. That would make absolutely no sense, especially since we've killed villains for much less than what Zenos has pulled on us. He's not redeemable to the extent you can make him a permanent addition to the heroes roster, because there's not even a hint of a hero in him. His only motivation is the WoL and nothing else, and there's no way to channel that passion into the goals of the scions... which is to say nothing of how not a single one of the scions would even want Zenos there to begin with.

Let's not forget Fordola has only about half the crimes Zenos has and people struggle to accept her. There's no way the murderous crown prince of garlemald would be welcomed in the slightest.

The most they can do, which I'm also partially hoping for, is a temporary uneasy alliance for like 1 level of the MSQ. A period of time where you don't want to work together with Zenos, but have to for some reason, and it's right back to enemies as soon as that's done. I'd love a single Trust instance with Zenos in this vein, but I won't hold my breath on that one.

And only now do I realise the poster is SecretIsland.

Now that Fanfest is over and we've all had some moment to reflect... I have a particularly crazy theory: Zenos is going to become a Scion and betray Fandaniel. He appeared in the poster for Endwalker along the Scions with a neutral/good-guy look. Yoshi P then said these are the Scions when he referred to the poster. Also, the developers have stated that Zenos is not the final boss. So I'm wondering... would Zenos be joining us? There's no other good explanation for why he's on the poster otherwise.

This is a good point. I think it would also diminish any fairly long played efforts to try and redeem Gaius. I mean, we can't just redeem every villain...

Given how much Zenos loves hunting, I would fly myself to Eorzea by 3.0 if I am him, just to poke my swords at WoL who killed so many primals and Garleans.
What if the Zenos wasn't himself from the time we learn of him to now.
I will not be surprised if the Ascians hijacked his body just to have another puppet figurehead for the empire to inherent the position from Varis. He could be not Varis's child at all.
Or just taking his body because of his stronger echo and hunting is simply a hobby of the Ascians that is controlling him, until Fandaniel wants to break everything.
