The ‘Twice Comes Ruin’ debuff makes sure that you can't outheal/outshield/outgear mechanics and 'cheese' your way through them like it's usually the case with older content. You can pack your best potions and lost actions and you still can't stand in sh*t. In its way it's very unforgiving because it basically says "I don't care if you can take the dmg without dying: ignore/fail another mechanic and you're dead anyway!"
I understand where you’re coming from but I’ll have to disagree. Personally I’d like to know how to ‘correctly’ deal with each mechanic so I can avoid eating dirt without knowing where were the roots of my own mistakes. Respect the mechanic, as people said. It also keeps the mechanic relevant relatively better in case overgearing starts to creep in; we’re seeing these alot in older raids at this point (although DRn syncs you anyway).

Though now that you mention it, they do add more of these “I don’t care if you can take dmg without dying”-stuffs. It sounded like whoever created the older mech doesn’t fancy playerbase’s creative ideas to cheese mechanics. One thing that comes in mind is comparing the vuln stack from the previous tier eden verse & the current dmg down (as severe as -50%? really SE?!) in eden’s promise savage raids when we take avoidable damage.
