Hey! Has this fixed it for you? I've been running the game using the 'normal' launcher and via steam so I'm wondering if disabling fullscreen optimizations is also a non-steam thing? So, I actually managed to "fix" it (Touch wood, hasn't happened yet since I've done this.) by disabling my steam-overlay and the "fullscreen optimizations" on both .exe files in the FFXIV game folder. Yesterday it'd crash once randomly during a dungeon or raid, now that I've made those changes it hasn't happened once out of 5 dungeon runs. Really odd. I've never had them off before, so maybe an update to FFXIV botched something?
Ever since I've made these changes, not one crash in the dungeon I would always crash in, even after non-stop 10 runs. I'm still trying not to jinx it, but for some reason doing both of those where I disabled the steam-overlay and fullscreen optimizations for BOTH .exe files in the game folder has seemed to make a difference. They were never off to begin with, so it's quite odd as to why they're causing issues only after a patch.
