PS5 controller is not responding in game, PC

    Hi!
I play this game on PC but with a PS5 controller. It has been about a month since I bought the controller to replace the PS4 controller and it was working fine. Yesterday it suddenly stopped responding in game and I tried to recalibrate it, repair the blue tooth setting and playing with it wired. All has failed and it won't work.
I've tested it out on other PC games and it won't work either and I even tried using the PS4 controller and it does not respond either.
Today I did a factory reset of my PC because I felt like I ran out of options and it still does not work. It does however work once it goes into big picture mode from Steam but it only works wired and its not very stable because one I disconnect the USB it stops working again.
I'm not sure what to do or where to ask. I'd really appreciate some suggestions because I am not the greatest at mouse and keyboard controls and controller made it easy for me.
    Thanks!

For me I had a static electricity issue with my motherboard. Unplug the power and hold the power button for 30 seconds to discharge any residual power.

Have you tried the reset button on the controller? Probably not the issue if the dualshock 4 doesn't work.

Good morning and thank you for posting on the Final Fantasy XIV Technical Support Forums.

We apologize that you are experiencing difficulties with your controller and for the delay in responding. Please try the following troubleshooting steps:

    - Try using a genuine Xbox360 or Xbox One controller (preferably wired) as these are compatible with Windows OS.
    - Try plugging the controller into different ports (both front and back).
    - Make sure all drivers for the controller are fully up to date.
    - Uninstall and reinstall the device drivers.
    - Disable all other device drivers, leaving the mouse, keyboard, and controller as the only active devices.
    - If you are using a specialized gaming keyboard, try using a different keyboard to ensure there are no conflicts between the devices.
    - Try unplugging all other devices and only plugging in the mouse, keyboard, and controller.
    - Make sure Windows has been fully updated from the Microsoft/Windows Update website.

Thank you for visiting the Final Fantasy XIV Technical Support Forums.
