FFXIV FanFest Interpreters

Hello!

Now that the FanFest is done, I wanted to take the time to make a post here about the Japanese/English interpretation at the FanFest. I'm currently working toward joining the interpreting field (for American Sign Language), and while I have seen many videos and had volunteer practice, it was inspiring to see Koji, Kate, and Mina at work all day on the stream. It's a very difficult job at times, but the reward is worth all the effort put into it.

I especially liked watching Kate, because she seemed as nervous as I felt when I did my first volunteer experience. To do that in front of the whole world had to have been nerve wracking!

I love you, thank you for the job you do, it really motivates me to work harder.

Agreed. I'm a translator by trade but I could never do live interpretation, it's nerve-wracking in a private setting, let alone on such a public stage. They all did a phenomenal job!!
