Reaper & The 13th Shard Theory

When a shard dies, the souls of those people merge with their equivalents on the first, but what if the void can't be merged? Those souls were transformed. I have a theory that when the warrior of light utilizes the reaper job, they actually tap into the version of themselves that is within the void.

The thing though, is Cuchulain. We know that Cuchulain was the warrior of light on the 13th, so I don't know how this could work. Thoughts?

As I mentioned in another thread, I don't think the Reaper Job's voidsent 'pet' will be literally what's left of their soul shard from the Thirteenth, but just a generic voidsent they've enthralled. It's already in the lore that voidsent can be easily bound by magic, so it's basically a non-event for Reaper to be able to do the same.

Personally I still think the WoL's Thirteenth Shard soul fragment is our certain white-robed, white-masked mage kid friend in the Rising Stones... but that's just my own theory so take that with a grain of salt.

Sadly that was debunked with the side story in ShB.

Urk, figures (I haven't done all the ShB side quests yet so hence my ignorance sorry). Thank you for clarifying that.

I wonder then if SE have future plans for exactly who the WoL's '13th Shard's' counterpart/soul fragment is, and are thus keeping that in careful reserve. I hope we'll find out either way.

I suppose I'm fine either way, though I hope it's written with some flexibility for the sake of role-players.

Voidsent are capable of speech, thought and independent actions, so I'm eager to find out if we'll get to communicate with the Voidsent in question.

I personally hope the Voidsent is an OC and develops as a character.

But we will see. The demon reminds me of the creatures that appear in certain FF games when you cast Death spells.

Unless they do something of the wall crazy I'll just assume it's a blood pact of sorts hearkening to FF5 Necromancers with their pact command.

I personally don't think Reaper is a necromancer. Necromancer feels more like an evil caster. I wouldn't mind something like that with very foul magic. Something even darker than black mage. Would have to be a few expansions from now though. I don't see much room in the lore for it yet. Maybe if we go to the 13th again.
