Again, it comes down to ROI.
We will hope that one day SE can do it for South America too, stay hopeful like us Oceania players in the meantime.
The more paying subscribers, the greater the chance, so make sure you keep inviting all your friends to take up the game and start a subscription.

I'm from Argentina and I'd love to see a South America server. However, there is a sad reality we players from South America have to face though.
The entire's region currencies are heavily devaluated vs the US dolar and Euro. As such, a lot of South American gamers are turned away from p2p games, and this is reflected in the numbers.

If the numbers are not there, Square will very unlikely open a SA server.

This? really?
the facebook community has 6.4k on brazil plus 7.5k on SA, ffxiv main NA group holds 34k, that is a good estimate, considering that people from brazil equally on both groups but people from NA are most definitely not on brazil communities or SA, the only one with the actual numbers is SQUARE she knows from where everyone is login in, so there is no point in debating numbers
if square judge deemed then its is, im just requesting to be looked into it and like i said many times, if not on SA at least on NA East
Woops, sorry the site I relayed this info from is actually called gamstat: https://gamstat.com/games/Final_Fant..._Realm_Reborn/so you are relaying on gamestat source?

And yes, only Square Enix has access to the actual numbers, but you can draw a rough estimate by comparing the values from different sources. Gamstat draws it's numbers from the PSN. Then you can use Google Trends to see similar distribution.

Hard to say if the trend can be carried over - there are some big societal differences in PC vs Console that would throw most statistics right out of whack.
Does Brazil/LatAm have an unoffical server? Australia somewhat uses Tonberry in Japan as it's unofficial for that region - even though a lot more Aussies seem to play in NA rather than JPN.
If there is an unofficial LatAm server, then a population bump is much easier to see. Like this:
Either way, I hope all our LatAm friends can keep paying their subscriptions and getting their friends to do the same, and SE will see that in the numbers when they decide if more DC are needed.
I read her suggestion as "an ADDITIONAL data centre on the East Coast would help people" not "move it"So.... go back to the problem they used to have for players living in Seattle, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Portland, Vancouver, Alaska, Hawaii.... anywhere else west? The move to Sacramento wasn't ideal, but you're asking to have one problem exchanged for another, and moving the server to the east coast of the US under the guise of "it'll help South America!" isn't good for the players.

Behemoth is host to a sizable amount of BRs. Other Latam players are harder to spot.Hard to say if the trend can be carried over - there are some big societal differences in PC vs Console that would throw most statistics right out of whack.

E: I apologize if I sound negative, but I'm trying to be realisitc at least from my perspective from Argentina. I went to 3 different schools and college, plus 2 different workplaces and I'm a very outgoing person, and I can count the number of people that I met that played and completed a game in the Final Fantasy franchise with my hands. Maybe the scene is different in other countries from Latam.

The unofficial br server is Behemoth. However, people have been creating characters all over Primal since world visit and character creation restrictions, and some people are on Crystal DC cause of RP.Hard to say if the trend can be carried over - there are some big societal differences in PC vs Console that would throw most statistics right out of whack.

And yeah, consoles are really expensive in Brazil. Most brs I know play on PC.
A South America DC would be great, but even a US East DC would be good too. I live in Northeast Brazil and get 80~100 ms to servers in the US East Coast. In US West Coast my ping is 140~170 ms, with VPN/ping reduction programs. The further south you are in Brazil, the worse your ping is.
I'd love to see the game in Portuguese/Spanish, but I don't see it happening anytime soon since they'd have to translate the game, pay for voice acting (br voice actors are great, seriously) and hire a whole support team for the region.
Nevertheless, I'm still pushing for it (:
