My sister was diagnosed with breast cancer last November 2019 and went through chemotherapy for 6 months after her double mastectomy a few weeks after her diagnosis. I dropped everything to support her and FFXIV was the game that helped me cope with what was happening. Right now she is in remission and I am super happy that we got through it. The fear of losing a loved one to that shitty disease still haunts me, but I try not to show it and still give full support to my sister. So when I saw Yoshi-P cry while Soken was giving his speech, I totally lost it and I was crying with him. I totally feel for Yoshi-P as Soken wanted to be as normal as possible while still working on music for 14 even in the hospital. I am extremely happy that Soken is in remission now, and I will continue to pray for his total and complete recovery. Yoshi-P, you are a treasure. F*ck Cancer and Long Live FFXIV! <3

I often find myself lost in the zones that you write compositions for, so much that they even inspire my own music compositions. The way that you can jump from any genre without really thinking about it just.. it amazes me! Keep it up, and keep being such a fantastic producer. I hope to someday be as well rounded and skillful as you Soken.

Please get better, and never stop making music. I love all of your ideas. Even the weird ones! Always be weird, and don't be afraid to try new things. It amazes me what can be done with someone who dares to try, and Soken, you absolutely have dared to try. I feel it with every waking part of my soul. You're one of the best composers in the world.
