The main reason Elezen aren't popular is their awful proportions (I can't say I blame anyone for this), and I say this as an Elezen myself for over 6 years now.

Elves are usually the most popular race in fantasy games, but in FFXIV the Elezen just don't look right unless you wear something that covers the neck, like a high collar or a cravat, which limits your glamour options.

My fellow, you are most enlightened. Duskwights are the best race after all.

I honestly don't see the issues anymore since Stormblood, like every piece of gear improves the weird proportions.

Both my retainers are Elezen too and they're very easy on the eyes.

I also keep getting compliments through tells, there's also this guy who keeps calling me mommy whenever he sees me, weird but funny.
