I've never liked how the characters look in the fancy CGI cutscenes. They all look off to me, except maybe the WoL himself, but then he's not trying to be a perfect match if an in-game character in quite the same way.
It's like they rebuild the characters from scratch and don't check that they match the in-game models.
Honestly, I think it's just the animation style they went with. Everybody except Zenos and WoL looked super uncanny valley to me.
I give up with you people. Forum community is absolutely unhinged. Imagine joining my alt's FC just to wait for me to come online to harass me lmao.

Come to think of it, this might be also due to the room lighting : on the last bit where Graha (along with everyone else) faces up : nothing seemed odd or anything : it was all good

A particular thing I'm noticing with the lighting is that it's casting a second set of line shadows over his eye markings, which definitely looks odd.
Overall I just don't think they're referencing the face right.

Yeah, I feel like they might have rushed the trailer hard to get it out in time--they commented that they were "glad that they got it out in time" or something like that during the stream. G'raha is definitely the worst, but everyone else was a bit off too; Thancred's hair is yet again a different color than in past trailers, Urianger's face is even more long and narrow, making his eyes look even more buggy than in the Shadowbringers trailer, very uncanny valley, but G'raha... Big oof. His face was really, really wide in comparison to the in-game model, the features way too small (compare the marks under his eyes in the trailer to the in-game model, dang), and his neck is weirdly thick...
This is not to dismiss the whole thing or anything, I'm sure the animators were working hard, but the quality of the models just massively drops from the parts of the trailer that were released in the earlier teaser compared to the full version. Comparing Meteor's/MC's model to G'raha is painful. XD

I honestly felt the same about Estinien, He didn't look anything like himself. There was something inherently off about him (other than the hideous ponytail that makes him look even worse) But I noticed that about G'raha too. Urianger looked a bit off and plastic-y too. Shtola looked good. Thancred looked great. The twins look like they lost a few years of age, and look more 11-12 than 16(mentally 17).
IMO its not just him. If you compare Thancred and Ystohla with their shadowbringer trailer look they look quite a bit different. Urianger too was off, maybe the animation itself?Watching the full trailer today, I couldn't help but notice that our best boy G'raha didn't look good in it. There's something about his face that felt off to me. I suspect it's his eyes. I feel they're a bit small or something. I'm used to him being adorable in the game, so this kinda surprised me. Did anyone else feel this way too?
P.S. I avoided mentioning him by name in the thread's title to avoid spoilers for others.
For me only the twins and the WoL were fine.
That's the thing. They looked different but not bad, like poor G'raha. I noticed Y'shtola's hairstyle was slightly different, but I thought it meant she was getting a different style in Endwalker. As for Urianger, I kinda don't pay much attention to him in general ^^;
