Hope they do release a second (and third, etc.) wave of sales so they can meet demand, even if it means still selling it after the expansion launches (especially since the game is largely decoupled from the goodies). I also hope if they do they find a way to directly connect with players who already have subscriptions such as to avoid scalpers as much as possible.

Oh yes, I just read it too, it seems there is two physical CEs - a EW 'Collector's Edition' for Windows and Mac that includes a digital download edition of the game, and the 'Collector's Box' that doesn't include that and just has the items - presumedly the 'download' is a code bundled within that is redeemed on the SE Store to acquire the expansion.

Also, I noted a small detail in the product description for the 'Collector's Box':



So that's at least one thing that will be available through alternative means if I am unable to get this (I hope the Azem Crystal pin is also offered the same way).

Unfortunately, there is only one Collector's Box. If you attempt to purchase the Collector's Edition with the PC download, it adds two items to your cart-- the digital CE and the Collector's Box (no game included).

And then the shop removes the Box from your cart as it's sold out

This is crazy, the store was down when they announced the pre-orders. This morning when they said to go and pre-order the collector's edition the box was already sold out
and the full collector's edition for PC isn't even listed anywhere on the store. The Lodestone link goes to a page that doesn't even have it.

Please release more waves with some notice and maybe even when those of us in North America are awake.

Also where is the "waiting list" that the website lists but has no link to sign up for?

Special/Collectors Edition items are sold out quickly. It's normal, with shoes, clothes, toys etc. Anything special has that market for collectors and most of the time it runs out very fast and that's how it is. Part of it is LUCK! Fortunately SE has a tendency to re-release their CE. Just be patient and it will show up again soon

For what it's worth, the ShB collector's was sold out way after I was able to get to it, like months after. I signed up to the waiting list and WoD is sitting on my shelf. I'm sure they'll push for another round.

I remember getting antsy as the release was getting closer and closer on prior expansions. Thankfully like others have said they have continued to release more at a later point and was able to easily get a CE. They should continue to do the same once again for those that want it.

What irks me is they didn't even announce the pre-order on the actual stream but randomly turned them on afterwards. I don't see any reason to make them so limited.

And so as I mentioned, and this is here, the collector's edition and the collector's boxes are both limited runs. There are only a few of them, and so if you want those, you need to purchase them--preorder them now."

The pre-orders didn't go live right that second, but that to me said, "refresh the store at a few intervals after the keynote ends".
