It's confirmed that the job quest will start in Ul'dah.
Probably someone in the THM guild or involved with the guild introduce us to an NPC that have experimented with voidsents and trying to harness their power in different ways or something like that.

I’m intrigued as well, because I didn’t notice right away, by when the reaper merged with the voidsent she essentially became a female midlander. And I immediately thought of Edda. Though picturing Roes and Hrothgar becoming Edda makes me laugh.

kind of looks like it's dragoon with a bent spear and a little ghosty guy instead of a little blue dragon
time will tell...

If Reaper has positional requirements for any of its abilities, it will just be another melee I won't play. I'm not a fan of melee to begin with, but positionals beyond "hit it from the back" are a non-starter for me.
How many men am I involved with? Well that depends... do you mean men as in males? Or just midlanders?
I guess something like Magus from Chrono Trigger.

As for positionals, I'm wondering if it might be a melee with no positionals but instead with more technical depth than the other melees like maybe having to actually directly control your partner and weave it's abilities in between your own attacks.

I'm hoping it's this, as while I think the positionals mechanic is an interesting gimmick, I don't think it belongs on every single melee like it currently is.

Animations are cool but this is probably something I'll cap and never touch again. A lil too edgy for my taste.
